Real talk. Even if I was raptured up, I wouldn't want front row seats to an Armageddon battle. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

I like what Rossing said about a self-fulfilling prophesy and Revelation not being meant for those in power. #revres

@McflurryMike3 Kind of a means to an end, I'd say, McFlurry. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

Surprised at the extreme focus on Jews and Judaism.Just interesting. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

"I always wanted to be part of it, but I wanted to be like 85." Everybody wants to go to heaven, just not yet. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

I enjoy reading about conspiracy theories and such, but this book stretches it jussst a bit. #revres

Maier: New Jerusalem is everything Empire is not. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

"The line separating the idolatrous from the faithful is drawn not around the churches but through their center." Interesting. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

In a way, I think Maier and John of P are similar: both are in an in-between state. They're both kind of outside looking in. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

"When the going gets rough, the tough get exegetical." May just be my new favorite quote. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

Unlike some of our other authors, Maier is having none of this moving past Revelation business. #revres

Who else is missing Donnie, Fred, and Bernadette? #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

S defined glossolalia in a way that I had never encountered. Ecstatic speech others may interpret as foolish. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

S: Everyone is guilty of the crucifixion of Christ. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

S: We often think of resistance as big events. Just as likely to be long, ongoing struggles. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

S: You have to resist sometimes to stay sane. Makes me feel better for not always watching the news. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

S has a good point about the anti-C. We look for it elsewhere except in our own lives and times. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

In general, I think S tends to demythologize a lot of the stuff we see as supernatural and put it in an everyday context. #revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

Stringfellow is probs not a March Madness fan...#revres

[Jeffrey Scott @JiffJeffJaff]

Wonder what S would think of today's gratuitous violence in movies, TV, video games, etc...#revres
