@Aperta And because this system acts like a "reverse FRIC" and its main purpose is to gain aerodynamic advantage by decreasing drag. Heave dampers main purpose is to keep front of the car from diving under braking and rear from diving under acceleration, without affecting pitch.
@Aperta Just to remind you, FRIC was also as passive as this system, still they banned it. ofc the downforce puts the car down by some amount, but what merc has done is pretty extreme, as it acts like its "switched on", and not linear.
