A kerosene lamp's flame produces a mere 15-20 lumens of light, at high cost. A small DC Led light will produce over 100 lumens - at no cost!

Kerosene lamps are dangerous and polluting. They provide very poor light, are bad for the eyes and respiratory system and are costly to run.
