To grow coriander at home in water, fill a container with about 3 inches of water and suspend coriander seeds about 1 inch above it.
Ensure the container is placed in a spot receiving at least 6 hours of sunlight daily, and change the water every 2–3 days to prevent stagnation.
Within 7–14 days, you'll observe germination, and after 3–4 weeks, the coriander will be ready for harvest.
Hydroponics is a viable method for growing cilantro at home without soil, using a nutrient-rich water solution with pH levels between 6.0 and 6.5, and providing 12-16 hours of fluorescent light per day.
According to studies, cilantro grown hydroponically can yield up to 3–4 times more compared to traditional soil-based methods while requiring 70–90% less water.
