I'm old enough to remember when Tebow first blew up at Florida. Always thought he had to have been hiding some big secret bc there's just no way anybody is really that good of a person.

20 years later he is the only guy I can think of who was built up by the media to be a saint and has actually lived up to it. Also has a higher playoff passer rating than Tom Brady.

As an AD, I constantly remind our coaches what a captain really is. It is not always your best player, even though that is the ideal. It is the player who lives out your program’s culture every single day. The one who holds teammates accountable, shows up and works, puts the team first, and does the little things right when no one is watching.

A captain is not just a talented kid who makes plays. It is the standard everyone else should follow.

There are many reasons I choose to be a voice for young athletes out there. Here are a few:

• Late bloomers are often looked past because they are deemed not ready by adults who care more about the scoreboard and how it makes them feel.

• Prepubescent athletes who are torn down mentally, often in front of their peers, by adults who lack emotional control.

• They are the future of our world. We need strong leaders and they are our future leaders. Not people who blame, make excuses, don’t take responsibility, lack accountability and don’t know how to treat other people with respect.

• The game provides countless opportunities to prepare them for life. Because of that we want their love of the game to grow and keep them playing for as long as they want to. We don’t need adult emotions taking the love for the game away from them.

Can’t stop, won’t stop. They deserve it. This phase of their life will be so short relative to how long their life will be. Let’s help them enjoy it and learn the most from it. It’s THEIR game. Keep going young ballers.

You’ve probably walked past The Sunset Room without knowing it every time you got off the elevators and entered the exit corridor in the Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The doorway to the “restaurant” is right next to the Tower Gifts shop.
The Sunset Room is a non-functional doorway (the doors open to a backstage area) that is themed as a once-glamorous restaurant within the Hollywood Tower Hotel, complete with a posted menu of daily specials dated October 31, 1939…the night of the hotel’s infamous lightning strike and disappearance of the guests. On that fateful Halloween evening, the Sunset Room was the elegant venue for the hotel's annual Halloween Ball, where attendees would have mingled while enjoying live performances from the Tip Top Club orchestra on the upper floors.
On the menu you’ll see tribues to key writers from "The Twilight Zone" series, including "Whitefish Matheson,” referencing Richard Matheson, who penned episodes like "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.” "Polonaise Beaumont" pays respect to Charles Beaumont, a prolific Twilight Zone contributor responsible for stories like "Perchance to Dream" and "The Howling Man." The dessert "Gateau du Chocolate au Rodman" cleverly references series creator Rod Serling himself, with "Rodman" referencing his first name "Rod.” #TowerofTerror #DisneyFacts
