@AbdelNait2@USAOWTC I really like the post Impressionism art as well. I thought it was way better than looking at the same scene over and over again in a different light.
Looking at the slides I like how in post Impressionism they focus more on objects with some structure and not just painting the same scene over and over again at a different time or season #WTCPostImp@USAOWTC
@MayelaVillasen1@USAOWTC I liked that Freud made it known that he doesn’t believe in the system but was still able to support those who do. I think this makes his claims more substantial because he’s able to make them with both opinions in mind.
I thought it was interesting when Freud talked about the pleasure principle and how pleasure can essentially come from the lack of pain. Therefore as humans we don’t completely shy away from pain because we want to feel the contrast which is pleasure #WTCFreud@USAOWTC
@kp_wtc3@USAOWTC I thought the exact same thing because I would have been bored painting the same thing three time let alone thirty. I guess he was really passionate about capturing scenes during different seasons and times throughout the day
Looking at Monet’s repetitive paintings of the Haystacks I thought it would be boring to paint the same scene over again. After googling him I realized he painted the scene 30 plus times so I guess demonstrating the effects of light was more fun than I thought..#WTClmp@USAOWTC
@AllieMo92634146@USAOWTC I think realism is a reaction to the harshness of the industrial environment because in the early photographs from the slides it shows kids working in a factory maybe the person who took the image was trying to spread awareness about the harsh conditions the kids were working in
Looking at the slides of the early photographs and reading about realism in the arts it seems that both have the same goal of capturing everyday events happening in society in their truest form no matter how disturbing some images may be #WTCReal19@USAOWTC
@worldthoughty I agree and Victor probably never expected the monster to seek or let alone understand revenge but he did by killing his loved ones and he has to deal with the consequences of his creation
Shelley is really playing with our emotions by trying to make us feel sorry for Victor because the monster killed his loved ones but in reality it was his selfishness that created the monster and chose to neglect him so he kinda brought it on himself #WTCFrank2@USAOWTC
@HorkFromOrk@USAOWTC I love the Scooby Doo reference haha I also expect the same creepy setting but was surprised by the series of individual letters from Robert Walton
Victor was acting on pure emotion when creating the monster which I think blurred his reasoning therefore didn’t weigh the consequences of creating life and how much responsibility it takes #WTCFrank1@USAOWTC
I think it’s interesting how Blake follows along with Milton in how he portrays Satan. It seems as if the demons are actually the good ones while the angels fall short of their true potential. #WTCBlake@USAOWTC
@WillCozad@USAOWTC I agree with your mom haha. I believe he didn’t like his friends working with him because they didn’t put forth the same amount of emotion and feeling into each poem like he did which sucks when you try so hard just to have something ruined by someone else
I think it’s interesting that Wordsworth wrote a whole preface to explain to people why he writes poetry the way he does it’s not because he’s lazy he just knows it’s time for a new style. I honestly enjoy it because it’s easier to read and understand #WTCPref@USAOWTC
@musicmajcr@USAOWTC I also like the pianist and how she expressed different emotions while playing which made the audience feel different emotions right along with her. It’s crazy to think how powerful music can be
