I will again say that the murder of Charlie Kirk is absolutely unjustifiable and so are some folk’s responses but ppl acting like he was a martyr for Jesus is wild. That’s not what Charlie was. He was a victim - and should not have been - but he was no martyr for The Faith.
Honestly diabolical of Walmart to try to substitute black jelly beans for regular ones in my order. I mean, I love them, but I doubt they'd be popular with the 10 people I'm hosting tomorrow!
For me, faith lives in Holy Saturday: things are absolutely as bad as they seem & the Son of God is absolutely as strong & as loving as he claims to be.
Both of these representations of Holy Saturday are true simultaneously. We experience the cold, shadow of death while Christ is actively setting souls free.
I see this ethic so often in my work with children. Surprised that it took me until today to realize (here as in so many other places) that Satan does not create, only perverts what God created.
