@EstateWill19959@phillygodfather@JoePompliano Hitting a woman is indefensible.
Betting $7 on a parlay if you are the starting QB (which he wasnt) isnt right, but these 2 things arent even close of being in the same ballpark. Death sentence??? Nah, not for me.
@phillygodfather The kid was betting less than $10 a bet right? Boycotting Texas Tech and ending the kid’s career over that? Drunk Driving is a WAY worse crime than this
@bagels90@CollegeBSBNews I think UWM winning these 2 games would be a counter argument to your point. Its not like conference tourneys are a money grab in baseball like basketball or football title games.
One of the things we worked on during our session this weekend had nothing to do with his swing.
I started throwing him pitches.
-Inside.
-Away.
-Up.
-Down.
And he swung at all of them.
Some he hit well...others, not so much.
Then I stopped him and asked:
"What pitch are you looking for?"
He didn't have an answer.
So I told him:
"That's the problem."
A lot of hitters see a strike...
and swing simply because it's a strike.
Not because it's the pitch they were hunting.
So I told him to imagine the strike zone was divided into boxes like MLB The Show.
Pick one.
If I throw it there, swing.
If I don't, take.
Immediately, everything changed.
-more harder contact
-more line drives
-more confidence.
Not because his swing changed.
Because his focus changed.
One thing I've learned:
A lot of hitters see a strike and swing simply because it's a strike.
Not because it's the pitch they were hunting.
Then they roll it over, pop it up, or hit a weak fly ball and blame their swing.
Sometimes the problem isn't your swing.
Sometimes you swung at the wrong pitch.
Just because it's a strike doesn't mean it's your strike.
Try this tonight:
Before every round of BP, pick one zone.
Hunt it.
If it's there, attack it.
If it's not, let it go.
You might be surprised how much easier hitting becomes when you stop trying to hit every strike and start hunting your pitch.
