@quiscustodis I am really disappointed not to be staying. No I will not be standing. Having experienced some campaigning, and also the other work PPCs have to do I take my hat off to anyone standing as an independent.
@CrisisMills The company I mix with are certainly NOT fascists. Your comment is the equivalent of saying every Labour MP behaves in the same manner as Keith Vaz.
@CrisisMills You are talking absolute rubbish. I gently suggest that you look up the definition for 'fascist' before trying to label people. I am a Brexit candidate and have never, I any way whatsoever, been associated with UKIP.
This graph illustrates exactly the situation regarding Brexit as it stands at the moment. What happened to democracy and the will of the people? https://t.co/eV2u5axMiI
Great morning canvassing in Metheringham with the PPC for Sleaford and Hykeham, plus her team. Learnt a lot, including how to use the information gathering computer system as well as the art of canvassing door to door.
@XXXSexContacts@Phoebejoy1611 Emma, apart from removing the backstop, where / how have they compromised? We cannot complete any trade deals with countries who have an EU agreement unless there is ‘a level playing field.’ In other words don’t undercut any of our deals or prices. That is not compromise.
Boris’ deal. We have to share our fishing grounds with the EU, we must stay aligned to a lot of their regulations. We are also not allowed to give any financial support to any of our industries. Nor allowed to be competitive or get our own trade deals. This is NOT Brexit.
@BREXIT999 @OneTrueSpartan@Rolo_Tamasi@Tillymint85 Simon, as they say in the Forces, “Get some time in”. I say that as someone who did nearly 37 years. Hope this does not offend.
@OneTrueSpartan @BREXIT999 @Rolo_Tamasi@Tillymint85 2 This is like saying to Tesco, “Yes you can trade but, your prices must be at least the same level as Asda’s.”
@OneTrueSpartan @BREXIT999 @Rolo_Tamasi@Tillymint85 I am not committed to a ‘no deal.’ All I want is a fair one for both us and the EU. Theresa May was too weak in her demands. Proper negotiations should have started 3.5 years ago, not now. Now we are not allowed, in any way, to undercut any EU agree with another country. It
@Ironclad1215 I have indeed read the new deal. What I have stated is in the WA and the PD which -if they are ever adopted - restricts us mainly under “level the playing field” part. It is illegal to give money to industries as this gives then an unfair advantage. Take Scunthorpe steelworks
@Rolo_Tamasi @BREXIT999 @OneTrueSpartan@Tillymint85 2. This willlast until we finally leave the EU completely. With the agreement for N.I. this could last fo anything up to 12 years depending on how their Assembly votes - if it ever sits - where what actions we take, and how we spend our Defence Budget will be dictated by the EU
@Rolo_Tamasi @BREXIT999 @OneTrueSpartan@Tillymint85 It is not a non-issue if you cannot take actions where your interests maybe threatened e.g. lets take the Falklands. If we needed to take new measures to protect the island, but the EU declares that contravenes their interests or Foreign Policy, then we cannot do so.
@Rolo_Tamasi @BREXIT999 @OneTrueSpartan@Tillymint85 2. Under these proposals the UK cannot take any action if it is against EU foreign policy or would / could undermine them. See my previous posts quoting the Article numbers and sub paras.
@OneTrueSpartan @BREXIT999 @Rolo_Tamasi@Tillymint85 In any election, be it winning by 100 votes or 0.2%, then that is the outcome. No MP ever refuses their seat in a GE if their majority is extremely thin. In our present electoral system winner takes all.
