Thank you @wesstreeting for taking the time to speak with maternity victims today, listening to our stories and the inequality so many are facing as result the UKSC ruling. We are keen to work with you to drive change!

It IS much like previous national reviews (which led to more avoidable harm). It IS a hastily thrown together plan after the previous one was ditched on Tues.
If it's done well it'll conclude we need a statutory public inquiry. If it's done badly it'll be another cover up.

Lots of excitement about this announcement from @wesstreeting today, but we must be clear about what this is and what it isn't.
It isn't a public inquiry. It isn't a system wide analysis. It isn't a thorough investigation of, well, anything.

Happy heavenly birthday, Jasper. 4 years old today. 4 years of wanting you here so bad. 4 years of the worst pain. Wish you were here my little angel 💔 #jasperjamesbrooks
Couldn’t face someone touching Jasper’s ashes for years but I finally allowed someone to and now I get to carry my boy with me, close to my heart 24/7. Unbreakable.
4 in April. Where is time going? You’d be starting school in September 😢

"When you get to a point where 65% of your maternity units are classed as unsafe in a developed country it is an issue of public concern and these are basic thresholds for what a public inquiry entails.”
💔 Ryan and Emmie should have been watching baby Quinn grow up for the past 3 years. Instead, they've had to battle the NHS and its regulator to get the truth for Quinn who died at Nottingham Hospitals from care so bad it has been judged criminal: https://t.co/cEOYymHlv2
'We were in their care. They were looking after us & Harriet and they did such a bad job.'
A harrowing new @ITV documentary tells the story of the investigation into alleged failures in maternity care at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust.
Jack & Sarah Hawkins were one of the 1st families to raise concerns after the death of their daughter.
Tireless dedication to raising more and more awareness to maternity this morning. Well done @Sajhawkins1 and @jackhawkski - don’t forget to watch on Sunday 10:20 @ITV 1
"What is also clear is that the Care Quality Commission [...] cannot be relied upon to police the system"
I agree. Culture & philosophy of care are what I focus on but ineffective regulators are also a big part of why maternity services aren't good.

This week the @SandsUK & @tommys Joint Policy Unit launched a call for evidence open to anyone working in or with maternity and neonatal services to understand what needs to change to improve care.

@PaulaMc007 We saw Lloyd a few times when spectating and he was so engaging with the crowd, high fiving people and was truly brilliant and inspirational.
I’m not sure how you’re meant to celebrate your dead baby’s 3rd birthday but keeping busy is the only way to stop you crying all day. Spending the day at Hundred Acre Wood looking for Winnie the Pooh seemed apt. Tonight I will hold Jasper’s Winnie even tighter!
Happy 3rd birthday Jasper. I miss you so very much. The pain is always difficult but this year it really really hurts. I hope we’re doing you proud little man x
