"I realize life is too short, and too precious, to let myself get upset over trivial things..People go to work and don't come back. One minute they're living and the next minute they're not. And, it doesn't matter who you are, there is nothing you can do about it."
Rest in peace, Dexter Wansel…

Little Richard aka Richard Wayne Penniman (December 5th, 1932 – May 9th, 2020)
James Brown got his big break as a Little Richard impersonator. Jimi Hendrix got his start playing guitar in Little Richard’s band. The Beatles formed around his work. The Stones and Freddie Mercury began with his music. it’s impossible to overstate Little Richard’s influence on popular music.
an alien from Macon, Georgia that took Gospel music, repression, and a need to entertain, and created something called rock and roll along the way. It’s as if rock and roll had always existed, we were just waiting for Little Richard to show it to us. he was the origin DNA that made The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, David Bowie, and The Kinks possible.
another brilliant thing he did: in the 80s, he’d stop the show, repeatedly, at the biggest events in the music industry, and claim his deserved recognition from an industry that never gave him proper credit. punk as fuck.
