The legacy of the Ferry family’s involvement with The Chimbote Foundation dates back to 1965. James J. Ferry visited the impoverished town of Chimbote in Peru and was moved by the basic life needs required for its residents to survive.

One of our favorite job sites we’ve worked on is right in the heart of Oakland at Heinz Chapel. Recently, the chapel has been lighting up its spire in color. A stunning addition to this architectural icon.

As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we’re going to spotlight many of the projects of which we have been proudest. Throughout the history of Ferry Electric Company, we have been able to partner on many iconic houses of worship in our community.

Is this a sign of a special year ahead? Heck yeah. Our newest addition to our headquarters’ landscape recently made its debut to commemorate our first century of serving our beloved community. We will celebrate throughout 2026, as we are so proud of our 100 years.
