This morning, Ambassador Katrin Hagemann presented her Letters of Credence to H.E. President @edmnangagwa, officially assuming her role as the European Union’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe. 🇪🇺🤝🇿🇼

Ambassador @HagemannKatrin reaffirmed the EU’s commitment towards strengthening the EU🇪🇺-🇿🇼ZWE partnership: a #partnership grounded in #peace and #prosperity, one that is #inclusive, #sustainable and of mutual benefit.

She highlighted the EU’s support for Zimbabwe’s ambitions in #trade and #investment, including the country’s duty-free, quota-free access to all 27 EU🇪🇺 Member States, and the opportunities this creates for more Zimbabwean🇿🇼 companies to enter European markets.

The EU will continue working closely with Zimbabwe in areas such as agriculture, women’s empowerment, governance, civil society, culture, resilience, and the sustainable management of natural resources, in alignment with NDS-2.

We look forward to strengthening our cooperation with the Government and people of Zimbabwe in the years ahead.
