Here’s a story that restored my faith in people for a moment… ❤️
A man came into the dealership to buy a BMW and trade in his older Scion xB.
At the same time, a young girl was there trying to get a Corolla.
She’s a student working two jobs, doing everything she can to stay afloat…
but sadly, she couldn’t get approved for financing.
She started crying while the salesperson tried to comfort her.
Everyone felt terrible, but there really wasn’t anything we could do.
Or at least… that’s what we thought.
After she left, the man who was buying the BMW asked,
“Is there really no way to help her?”
The salesperson shook his head, clearly upset, and said no.
Then the man said something none of us expected…
“Call her back. I’m giving her my trade-in.”
We were all shocked.
A few minutes later, she came back to the dealership, confused and emotional.
The man signed over the title to his Scion xB, handed her the keys,
and went on to finish his paperwork for the BMW like it was nothing.
While he was in the finance office, she sat in the car he just gave her…
crying tears of pure joy.
No cameras.
No attention.
No reason other than kindness.
Moments like this remind me that good people are still out there.
Sometimes the smallest act can change someone’s whole life. ❤️
Friends, the spirituality of the Sacred Heart is incredibly rich and beautiful. In fact, when the American bishops gather this summer, we’ll be dedicating our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in honor of the 250th anniversary of our nation.
In theaters June 9, 11, and 14 is the new film, “Sacred Heart: His Reign Has No End.” I can't think of a better way to enter into this beautiful devotion than by watching this movie.

🚒🥺 There are people who risk their own lives every single day to save strangers.
This firefighter faced fire, smoke, and danger to protect lives he may never see again. Today, he is the one needing strength. 💔
We often see heroes as invincible… but they also feel fear, pain, and exhaustion.
Behind this uniform there is a human being trying to recover and stay strong. 🙏
May support, respect, and prayers never be lacking for those who dedicate their lives to protecting others. ❤️
Detroit Catholic priest Fr. Jean-Baptiste Commins is being hailed as a hero after chasing down and tackling a suspected car thief who had just crashed a stolen vehicle into another car outside the parking lot of his church, injuring a woman with non-life-threatening injuries. He then checked on her to see whether she needed the Anointing of the Sick or a blessing.
