Labour Councillor for Central Ward, Worthing. Ex magazine editor and ex Parliamentary Candidate. Yorkshire lad despite 50 years in exile & big Rugby League fan
Had a great afternoon judging gardens @EgaliteCare homes across Worthing, East Preston and Rustington with Cllr Helen Silman. Lovely gardens, happy caring homes ... and lots of tea and cakes. What could be better.
I warned this would happen. #Worthing’s Tory administration still wants to replace all the wooden groynes from Lancing to Ferring with rock pile groynes. It's madness. This kind of accident will become a weekly occurrence. @Worthing_Herald https://t.co/UA7YvLAoqI
This job is all about giving voice to those shut out of our politics.
I never thought I’d live to see the day it would include MPs.
But that’s precisely what this govt has done and is doing again today
If you have symptoms you stay home...you don’t go for a drive to see if your eyes work!!
This is much, much worse than I had expected. Much worse.
Dominic Cummings is bringing down the government right in front of our eyes
@PBottomleyMP should apologise to his constituents in #Worthing West for this shameful R4 interview in support of Dominic Cummings. How much more out of touch and out of tune with the electorate can he get? @Worthing_Herald@WorthingWestLab https://t.co/1S6e6zgshL
Today I've sent an open letter on behalf of over forty Labour councillors from across West #Sussex urging @WSCCNews to join the many other councils opposing the Government’s insistence on the wider re-opening of schools on 1 June. The risks to our communities can't be overstated.
George Osborne on @BBCRadio4 - "Austerity was a consequence of financial crash."
Let's remember that this was NOT an inevitable consequence. It's not just #coronavirus that kills people. Slashing Public spending whilst rich amass further wealth is very bad for our health
While the @WSCCNews Tory Cabinet is dragging its feet on this important issue, Labour-run @BrightonHoveCC has already got many of its pop up cycle lanes into operation. It’s time for action to make our roads safe so cycling can be a real choice for people.

In March, official Govt advice stated it was "unlikely" that care home residents would get infected. Since then, thousands have sadly passed away.
@Keir_Starmer raised this in Parliament today but the Prime Minister denied it was ever Govt advice.
The record must be corrected.
Worthing Labour Group leader and public health consultant @BeccyCooper4Lab has brought Labour Councillor @Sally4Labour together with other #Worthing health professionals to remind people to keep consulting their GPs about non-Covid health issues https://t.co/QgfvAQKm9Y
Former Mayoress of #Worthing, Cllr Norah Fisher, who was well known for attending civic functions with her beloved labradoodle Herbie, has died.
Tributes have been paid to the service Cllr Fisher gave the borough both as a councillor and for her work with charities.
Surgery with a difference! @Sally4Labour and I are inviting Central Ward Residents to our regular surgery via Zoom on Sat 4th April at 11am - 12.00 https://t.co/Z5wkUC0Cty… ID: 551 893 251 For confidential issues, follow up will be arranged @BeccyCooper4Lab@WorthingWestCLP
Thanks to @Worthing_Herald for making it clear. Attacks on @WorthingWestLab from @WorthingCA for campaign launch delay were totally unjustified, undignified and inappropriate at this time of national emergency https://t.co/bteDc1FnAQ
