So the Pope met with David Axelrod last week. David Axelrod. Obama's campaign architect. A man who is not Catholic, has never met a pope before, and whose entire career has been engineering political narratives for the American left.
And then, by pure coincidence, the Pope immediately started lobbing shots at the Trump administration, and three US Cardinals popped up on 60 Minutes doing the same thing.
All organically, I'm sure.
I'm a practicing Catholic. I need you to understand that part. But in my opinion, Trump has all the right to lash out at him. Maybe you'll disagree, but in the end, Trump talks like Trump. Water is wet. I'm talking about MY Church being run like a DNC satellite office but with a golden throne.
This is the same Vatican that watched governments padlock churches during COVID and said nothing. That let Biden take communion while funding abortion and said nothing. That fired Bishop Strickland for defending actual Church doctrine. That removed Bishop Fernández in Puerto Rico for defending religious exemptions THE CATECHISM ITSELF supports.
But somehow Trump is the threat to human dignity.
Pope Francis was bad. Leo has turned out to be worse. Francis at least was vague about his politics. Leo went and hired the consulting firm.
The man has ignored the slaughter of Christians across Nigeria, the Sahel, India, Syria, Bangladesh, Pakistan. Hundreds of believers murdered, churches burned, pastors kidnapped. His response? Platitudes about dialogue.
OF COURSE he won't even name who's doing the killing.
But he'll fly across continents to make interfaith gestures the week after his people coordinated a media hit on a sitting US president.
The weaponization of belief is obvious. You get the Pope to pick a fight with Trump, and suddenly millions of conservative Catholics have to choose between their faith and their vote.

The Iran war has done something no political consultant could have engineered. It has stripped the Democratic Party down to its bare operating principle — in front of everyone — in real time.
For years the hypocrisy was easier to hide. They could talk about human rights in the abstract. Democracy in theory. Women's rights as a campaign slogan. But the moment the United States moved to destroy a regime that has been murdering its own people since 1979 — a regime that k!lls women for removing their hijabs, that hangs teenage wrestlers in public squares, that has financed every major terror network on earth for 47 years — the Democratic Party had a choice.
Side with the Iranian people fighting for secular democratic freedom. Or side against Trump.
They chose against Trump. Which this time meant siding with the IRGC.
And people finally saw it.
Here's the ideology that produced that outcome. The Democratic Party's entire worldview runs on a single binary: oppressor versus oppressed. America is the oppressor. Therefore anyone fighting America is the oppressed — even when they are the ones doing the murdering and oppressing. The IRGC hangs protesters in the streets and the left categorizes them as victims because they are anti-American. That is not a political position. That is a moral illness.
The Iranian people are in the streets. They are getting shot. They have been sacrificing their lives for secular democratic freedom — the exact values the American left claims to champion. The left's response before the U.S. attacked: silence. The moment the U.S. attacked to help end the regime oppressing them: outrage.
That sequence tells you everything about what the party has become.
When your entire ideology collapses into opposition to one person, you no longer have an ideology. You have nothing. And the war with Iran proved it in real time — not because anyone set a trap, but because the moment demanded a real answer and the party gave the only answer it has left.
Whatever Trump does is bad.
Even when what Trump did was strike the regime that has been murdering Americans and oppressing Iranians for nearly five decades.
If you are a lifelong Democrat feeling politically homeless tonight — you did not abandon your party.

When the Navy SEAL who ended Osama bin Laden tells you to sit down and shut up… you should probably sit down and shut up.
Rob O’Neill — the man who pulled the trigger that changed history — just weighed in on the disgraceful Democrat “military insurrection” video. And he did NOT hold back.
𝘔𝘺 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘴 𝘚𝘏𝘜𝘛 𝘜𝘗. 𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘴.
O’Neill torched the entire stunt — the fear-mongering, the fake “illegal orders” narrative, the coordinated attempt to paint Trump as a dictator.
And he said the quiet part out loud:
𝘋𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘺 — “𝘱𝘦𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯.”
This is the guy who knows the chain of command, who’s actually been shot at, who understands lawful orders better than every member of the “Seditious Six” combined.
And he shredded their entire premise in seconds:
𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘸𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 “𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘢𝘸𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳” 𝘪𝘴 — 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘴𝘵.
He even warned Kelly that the Uniform Code of Military Justice isn’t a joke — and that recall to active duty for an inspection of his medals is now on the table.
Translation:
Kelly stepped in it so deeply he may need a submarine to get out.
These Democrats wanted a cute little TikTok moment.
What they got instead was a constitutional crisis of their own making — and a very public spanking from the man who took down the world’s most infamous terrorist.
You can’t fake military honor.
You can’t manufacture courage.
And you sure as hell can’t lecture a Navy SEAL about lawful orders.
@SenatorSlotkin Lincoln arrested and deported Clement Vallandigham, a Democrat Congressman from Ohio for the EXACT same reason. He was going out speaking to troops telling them to not follow Lincoln. He was deported to the Confederacy, the Confederacy.
I am told that as a state representative this is the moment where I'm supposed to express my heartfelt condolences and then stand in solidarity with those on the other side of the aisle as we condemn political violence and stand unified as one people.
But we aren't "one people" are we?
The truth is we haven't been for some time now, and there is really no point in pretending anymore, if there ever was.
We are two very different peoples. We may occupy the same piece of geography, but that is where the similarities seem to abruptly end.
I convinced myself for a long time that whenever the left called me a racist, a bigot, a sexist, a fascist, a "threat to democracy" for even the most innocent of disagreements, that it was simply hyperbolic rhetoric done for effect.
And now the "effect" is a widow and two orphaned children, because the left couldn’t bear the thought of a peaceful man debating them and winning.
I don’t think they realize it yet, but murdering Charlie is going to be remembered as the day where we finally woke up to what this fight really is.
It’s not a civil dispute among fellow countrymen. It’s a war between diametrically opposed worldviews which cannot peacefully coexist with one another. One side will win, and one side will lose.
Charlie tried to win that fight through argumentation, through discussion, through peaceful resolution of differences.
And the other side murdered him.
Not because he was “extreme” or “inciting violence” or any other hyperbolic slur they hurled at him. They murdered him because he was effective. Because he was unafraid. Because he inspired others and made them feel like they had a voice, that they were not alone. And he did it at the very institutions which have fomented so much hatred toward conservatives.
I don’t want to “stand in solidarity” with the other side of the aisle. I want to defeat you. I want to defeat the godless ideology that kills babies in the womb, sterilizes confused children, turns our cities into cesspools of degeneracy and lawlessness…and that murdered Charlie Kirk.
Social media is aflame right now with leftist celebration of Charlie’s death.
I wonder if any among them understand what has just happened. If there is a Yamamoto somewhere in their midst warning, that all they have done is awoken a sleeping giant.
I doubt it. I think they gave up such introspection and self-awareness long ago.
I don’t know exactly what will happen next. I just know that it won’t be the same as what has happened in the past.
There will be thoughts and prayers…Charlie would have wanted prayers. Not for himself but for those left behind and for the country that he loved.
But then there will be a reckoning.
My Christian faith requires me to love my enemies and pray for those who curse me. It does not require me to stand idly by in the midst of savagery and barbarism...quite the opposite.
So every time I feel tired, every time I feel discouraged or overwhelmed, I am going to watch the video of a good man being murdered in Utah…I will force myself to watch it…and then I will return to the work of destroying the evil ideology responsible for that and so much more.
Rest with God Charlie, your fight is over.
Ours is just beginning.
As crazy as this story sounds, it appears to be true that foreign nationals applied for and received COVID stimulus checks. A Treasury IG report found 309,601 payments for $423M were issued to non-citizens and 27,808 payment requests for $34M came from foreign addresses.
@hammerandnigel Had a 9 am appointment in Fishers, I live north of Castleton, then drove to downtown Carmel, then to Muncie, roads were not bad at all.
She's surprised CNN didn't cut her mic after taking a swing at Dems and the COVID vax:
"[Dems] couldn't hold a primary because they were too busy holding a body upright. Are we still rolling? Am I off? ... Kamala was forced on us so hard you'd think she was patented by Pfizer"
