@JimNeill3 Is municiplal voting higher than school district participation?
Sorry if it seemed I was telling you what to do. My blurt of a prescription to get attention was generalized.
Getting the suggestion about municipal voting into the news would be great.
And congrats. 👍
Kevin, school boards under Education Act no longer have taxation power, it’s controlled by Queen’s Park. City Council has Municipal Taxation powers. I’m now a Public School Trustee, no longer a Councillor.
Kingston is shaping up to be the city with one of the lowest voter turnouts in Eastern Ontario. City of Kingston officials are reporting an official voter turnout of 30.5%, a 10.8% decrease from the 2018 municipal election.
Last night, I was elected as the next Councillor for King's Town. Thank you to the people of King's Town for putting your faith in me! Thank you to Keith and Alexandria for running. Thank you again to my friends, family, supporters and volunteers, and to my amazing wife Zoe. #ygk
