Colombian president Gustavo Petro seems to have gone off the rails. He states he refuses to recognize the initial results of the presidential elections which saw his candidate Ivan Cepeda, finish second in the first round.
Colombia 🇨🇴
@tdhross@Sean_Speer I wouldn't assume that the demographics of the conservative voting base and the demographics of the Conservative membership are the same.
Palabras del expresidente Álvaro Uribe:
Colombianos, hemos perdido.
@ABSocialDem Great reference point. That may work temporarily until Liberals remind those voters that they should vote Liberal so that Conservatives don't win, which they will then do.
Whomever wins @Conservative_BC leadership on Saturday will inherit a party in far better shape, with far less internal chaos, than ever before. They have @TrevHal to thank for that, as a particularly effective interim leader.

@WarmasterYuuka@Empty_America I have no idea what you are talking about. I made a comment about the ethnic composition of early Christians. I have no idea what you think I meant by that or why you are getting pissed off about it, or why you are even participating in this conversation at all.
@WarmasterYuuka@Empty_America You were the one who responded to me? I certainly didn't mean to imply anyone was a "gay race communist", neither were people who wrote Canadian multiculturalism brochures in 1973, just making a choice to emphasize something in a certain way that is true but not whole picture.
@WarmasterYuuka@Empty_America Sure, does that contradict anything I said? What is the argument here? It almost reads like a brochure from a newly founded Canadian department of multiculturalism in 1973 or something.
@WarmasterYuuka@Empty_America Medes, Elamites, and Arabs are definitely not Jews or Greeks. Parthian is more complicated and I don't know how people would have identified but it was definitely post-hellenistic and greek was a lingua franca. Everything else is either definitely or maybe Greek or Jewish.
