@jcmadan @nut_history Good point. I remember seeing that. But also haven’t seen any data. Someone could tell me that he was like a less effective Yoenis Cespedes (for baseball) and I couldn’t know. Offensively, Bo would have had to replicate his best year (1990) 19 more years to get in the HoF.

I’m also reminding people that if Bo had not gotten injured in the end of the 1990 season playoffs, he could have put up his best career season every year and it would have taken 11 more years when he was 39 to catch up to Henry at 32.

@JeffLeonard144 @nut_history Bo was a 1 of 1. I was just noting that the claim he regularly threw guys out from right and center filed didn’t actually happen. Bo’s career best NFL season would have been Henry’s 8th best in terms of yards. Bo had that one really good game though. But Henry deserves respect.

@nut_history Bo had only 8 games in his career with 100 rushing yards. His Seattle game his rookie year was a thing of beauty. But then he was basically done for the year after that one.

@nut_history I know this is a tough take because he was so fun to watch in highlights. But it’s so hard to tell how good he could have been. As fun as he was to watch in football, his entire NFL rushing yardage was exactly the same as Nick Chubb for 2 years from 2021-22.

But also never had a football season with more than 1,000 rushing and peak was a 5 TD year. His peak in baseball was a 3.1 fWAR year. For 2026, that would put him about 90th, where Mike Trout is this season.

@ethangordonbch @hndrxx_34 I sure hope he does and I’d love to see it, but he is already about the age that the average rusher in the top 20 or so ended their careers, so longevity is not a given for RBs. Lamar has 2 MVPs, which is only something 10 other guys have ever done. They both get in though.
