KANE: 60+ goals.
OLISE: Most World Cup assists (5).
DEMBÉLÉ: UCL winner, Ligue 1 POTY, World Cup hat-trick.
KVARATSKHELIA: UCL POTY.
MBAPPÉ: Golden Boot & UCL winner.
Yet Messi is the Ballon d’Or favourite because of seven games against Cape Verde, Egypt, Algeria & co?
Using the World Cup to rob others of the honours they earned?
🗣️ Brilliant from Dougie Critchley on if Bruno Fernandes should win the PFA Premier League POTS award:
“Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I think some people say, Man United have had so few games, they haven't played in Europe, but neither did Kante when he won it in 2017.
“Neither did Mahrez. Neither did Luis Suarez when he won it.
“And, he hasn't, of course, won the league this year. But nine of the last 16 PFA Player of the Years haven't won the league.
“I don't think it's actually imperative. And this guy has created the most chances in the entirety of Europe. And the last player to create more in the premier league season was Kevin de Bruyne in 2019/20 and he didn't win the league that year either. And he was named PFA Player of the Year.
“So, I think exceptional performance is just exceptional performance and he has been brilliant.”

Bruno’s Manchester United record:
306 games
102 goals
92 assists
Among Premier League midfielders this season:
🥇 Most shot-creating actions (97)
🥇 Most chances created (45)
🥇 Most through balls (15)
🥇 Most goal-creating actions (9)
🥇 Most goal involvements (10)
🥇 Most assists (6)
No midfielder in world football replicates what Bruno delivers in this setup, especially while playing in a deeper role. The crazy thing is that the last time he operated as a proper No.10 in front of two midfielders was in the 22/23 season. The level of creation, ball progression and ball recovery we demand from him shouldn’t be asked of any player, yet only Bruno can handle those responsibilities.
When you look at the numbers, his output is right up there with KDB’s and that’s despite spending large stretches of his career in deeper, more defensive positions. Put Bruno in another elite side and the conversation around him would be completely different.
If Bruno ever leaves, you’d need multiple signings across different positions to replace his contribution on the pitch.
It was a good decision from Amorim to push for Bruno to stay over the summer. No amount of money could replace what he brings to Manchester United on and off the pitch. Legend. 💯 #MUFC
🚨🗣 - Sadio Mane rates Rio Ferdinand ABOVE Virgil van Dijk as the best centre-backs;
"It's you [above] and Van Dijk [below].
"You know it, I know it. So this is no discussion."
😭🤣
The debate isn't Rio Ferdinand or Virgil van Dijk. It's Rio Ferdinand or Nemanja Vidic. The most dominant CB pairing in PL history - who hold a clean sheet record that will never be broken - were both clearly better.
More arrogant than accountable, more PR than performance, more reputation than reality. Stop forcing him into the conversation because we're in an era light on all timers - he doesn't belong in it.
It isn't a hot take. I genuinely can't think of a midfielder more complete than Bruno Fernandes right now. He’s the best midfielder in the world. Over the past five years, nobody has matched what he’s done for both club and country - nobody has even come close.
He starts for any team. I love the narrative shift around him in 2025, he’s earned it all. He has carried Manchester United through the chaos surrounding him, that's undoubtedly held him back from receiving the love, appreciation & respect he deserves.
That shouldn’t stop anyone recognising what he is - a club legend, one of the greatest to grace Old Trafford & Premier League in many years. Your view on him is a litmus test how much you really understand football. The numbers back it up & speak for themselves.
I understand & sympathize that they had a very tragic situation over the summer but, this is just nonsense.
They had a title winning squad, lost on penalties to PSG in the CL & made the league cup final.
FSG rightfully backed him & spent £450m + they got rid of players he clearly didn’t fancy (Nunez, Elliott, etc.)
He clearly had a massive influence in the transfers & they’ve been absolutely awful & he’s a massive part of it.
He’s blamed the recruitment, blamed the set piece team, pretending like all these other teams have bigger squads. Do Palace? Who beat you 3-0?
Constantly shifting blame. Arne Slot. The 2nd Ten Hag.
Is Saliba trying to play the ball? No.
What is trying to do then?
What are these new laws to eradicate these dark arts football? Is it only allowed when Arsenal do it?
Baleba would be transformational for this club. Seems a very unrealistic deal but if, somehow, they pull it off, it’s absolutely massive. Whether it’s now or next summer, that is the exact profile Manchester United need. Expensive, but worth it.
