I haven’t seen the current gov’t/ PM address geopolitics or the economy with same / comparable depth. As a university student, I used to watch the late Meles’s hours long speeches. He had a remarkable understanding of economics and politics. FYI opposed the EPRDF’s governance & ultimately left the country. I oppose ethnic federalism, so strongly reject both the EPRDF and the current PP .That said, I can not deny the development achieved under both governments. But it feels like putting lipstick on a pig ….Ethiopia and Ethiopians become less united with each passing year.
Both Regimens are run by known Ethnofascists , and believe that is why trust has disappeared. One side believes the other is dismantling the country by using Ethnic lines . Allocating lands to Ethnic groups than individuals/ citizens , while the other believes its identity is being crushed by the other!!! How can Ethiopia move forward when both sides feel existentially threatened?
