Colorectal cancer doesn't discriminate - it affects people of all ages.
@DFarberYoungCRC is partnering with patients to drive research and raise awareness about the disease.
Colorectal cancer is the third-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in America.
Many think it’s a disease that only affects older people, but in recent years, there has been an alarming spike in the number of young people being diagnosed, prompting calls for earlier screening.
I love welcoming new employees to Dana-Farber as they join us on our life saving missing - providing expert and compassionate care to children and adults with cancer, while advancing the understanding, treatment, and prevention of cancer.

Three consults every inpatient with an extended stay should have:
Social work.
Nutrition or dietician.
Physical therapy.
I don’t know why some places require formal consultations for those. They’re such universal areas of patient concern that an assessment should be automatic.
Another great Dana Farber new employee orientation this morning. So inspiring to meet all of our new colleagues! Terrific to work with the wonderful team overseeing the day from Dana Farber human resources.
