Earlier today the NYS Board of Elections invalidated our signature petitions to enter the June 25 Republican primary, thus bringing our campaign for the NY-03 open seat to a close.
We are disappointed in the result and the actions of the @NassauNYGOP and their hand-picked candidate, @TheMikeLiPetri as they’ve gone to great lengths to eliminate competing candidates in #NY03. Simply put: nominating a candidate ahead of an open seat primary and then relying upon technicalities and vague, outdated petition forms to eliminate valid signatures of registered NY-03 Republicans denies legitimate candidates a fair and leveled playing field. Just as disappointed and aggrieved are #NY03 Republican taxpayers, who are denied an opportunity to choose their representative, effectively being told that their votes don’t matter. Yes, at a time when our party desperately needs unity, the actions by the Nassau County GOP have instead isolated and disenfranchised large portions of NY-03 Republicans. This not only affects Republican taxpayers but also hurts their candidate, Mr. LiPetri, as he won’t be subject to scrutiny or take part in any vigorous debate until he competes against Tom Suozzi in November. On the heels of the Santos and special-election embarrassments, these actions show how out of touch the Nassau County GOP is with the constituents they are supposed to serve. Indeed, instead of shepherding a robust and transparent primary they have disrespected these constituents as well as the four qualified candidates who seek to run against Mr. LiPetri. As for me, the next move is to be determined but rest assured that, in some shape or form, I am committed to serving the dedicated citizens of District-03. Finally, to my many supporters and volunteers, I say “Thank you.” I begin with my wife of 35 years, Jeanine, for her commitment and support throughout our life together as well as this tough campaign. It was an enjoyable – and educational – process and you can bet that, if there is a next time around for me, I will be ready.

@VickieforNYC@GovKathyHochul there was a time when the Catholic Church provided schools, hospital care, food kitchens & shelters for our great city. It was called the Power House. Mayor Koch respected this. Today, our gov’t doesn’t . As Tony Montana said in Scarface “look at you now”.
@VickieforNYC There was a day when Democratic Mayors of NYC had the vision for major infrastructure projects. McLennan built aqueducts for our water & the subway system Dewitt Clinton built the grid. Today’s Democratic Socialists don’t have that vision nor the political will or means.
@NancyMace@EricLDaugh Fraud is Problem #1. Elected officials not caring or doing anything about it is Problem #2. Thank you for your attention on this matter.
@VickieforNYC Socialism hurts the lower income people first and the hardest. Their claims of “protecting” the less fortunate are hollow. For their next act, Socialist Democrats will blame Spirit’s bankruptcy on greedy evil Wall Street as they never accept accountability for their actions.
@jimfornyc @grok The location was intentional and their end goal was to spark a conflict that would go viral. So important we let the NYPD deal with this.
@jimfornyc Good read. The social media campaign that took place so quickly after 10/7 left many suspect that its organizers knew about the attack beforehand. I hope this suit brings clarity and proof that those suspicions were true.
