Which is great btw. That pilot is imo the greatest TV pilot of all time.
Just a shame we probably won't get to see the joint best character in the series in this film.
EXCLUSIVE: The cast of Universal’s ‘Miami Vice ’85’ continues to expand with Michael Irby joining the fold.
Irby will play Lt. Lou Rodriguez, sources close to production reveal. The original character in the hit NBC series ‘Miami Vice,’ who was boss of Metro-Dade Police Department’s Organized Crime Bureau, Vice Division, was played by Gregory Sierra.

Those protesting Mamdani are too dense to realise that doing so is counterproductive to trying to sway the wider public perception into ending the genocide denial.
Anti-Mamdani chants at the protest:
“Zohran, what do you say? How many kids did you kill today?”
“700,000 dead. Mamdani, your hands are red!”
“Traitor, traitor, come on out! You sold all your people out!”
“Zohran, you can’t hide. We charge you with genocide!”
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think.
In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards.
Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted.
City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it.
From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system.
From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.”
If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor.
We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?”
And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.
One way these polls are gamed is, when Mamdani first ran, they asked respondents if they were Jewish. Now they ask if they are *religious* and if so what their religion is, and if they answer Jewish they are counted. This conveniently removes secular Jews from the polling sample
The logic that the Premier League should let the market rip -- owners spending what they want! no cost controls! get rid of red tape! -- is disingenuous in lots of ways.
But it also forgets that the hated red cartel have advantages they don't use, too.

Cristiano Ronaldo has accused Portugal coach Jorge Jesus of breaking his word to him as the row over his exit from the national squad intensified.
In a remarkable 1,740-word statement issued to Portuguese media on Tuesday night and subsequently posted on his social media accounts, Ronaldo, 41, apologised to his teammates and fans for leaving the Portugal camp midway through their run of four Nations League fixtures last week.
But he said his actions were triggered by Jesus failing to play him — as allegedly promised — for 30 minutes in the match against Norway on September 27 and then reneging on a deal to present an agreed version of events at a press conference 48 hours later.

They’re barring a Jewish party leader from entering Israel because he criticized a secular political ideology which is supposed to be built on the idea that all Jews anywhere in the world have a right to return to Israel.
Beyond. Parody.
If any violence happens next week at Anfield, it won't be just the Liverpool fans at fault. It will be the entire media whipping them up in a frenzy @talkSPORT@henrywinter@GNev2@IanWright0
You better hope nothing does!
There is nothing racist about any ethnic or religious group wanting their own homeland.
The problem is if this desire is at the expense of another people.
Zionism in practise meant "a homeland at the expense of Palestinians".
It's really not hard to grasp this basic point!
Fernando Alonso finishes P8 in a car with a power unit that has a 100 bhp (or more) deficit to everyone else.
If there's anyone still questioning why he's on the grid, you got the answer.
