We have just witnessed the biggest bottle job in championship history. Over 200 days in the automatic places BOTTLED, knocked out of the Playoffs TWICE 🤣. Couldn't sell their wembley allocation 🤣. What a pathetic football club 🤣. #boro#utb#hcafc#sfc#itfc
Instead of people sticking the knife in on little old Southampton, perhaps more questions should be asked about dodgy Steve Gibson determined to throw Southampton out because his team couldn’t win on the pitch. 2 people on the independent panel with links to Boro?! Wow #saintsfc
@AlfieHouseEcho@Tigs76 Alfie - Lydia Banerjee is a KC at Littleton. Littleton have a commercial relationship with Middlesbrough. Banerjee’s colleague at Littleton, Nicholas Siddall, represented Middlesbrough in a case against HMRC in 2020.
Member of independent commission that booted Saints out of Championship play-off final has denied accusations of bias.
David Winnie, former footballer turned lawyer, spoke out after growing social media chatter. No objection to panel was made.

@Mr1ting@TheStatsSaint Definitely a conflict of interest with two of the people that sat on the hearing. Lydia Banarjee and David Winnie both have links to Boro. Lydia's company has represented Boro before and David Winnie played for them albeit on loan briefly.
I watched the first leg and Boro should have blitzed Southampton. Was the spy's message to try to let Boro have a headstart? It's naughty and it should be punished, but kicking a team out of the playoffs after a two-legged game that went to extra time, by the way, is absurd.
Is the outrage over Spygate understandable? An act of crass stupidity, I’ll grant you. But this is less Philby and Burgess and more Laurel and Hardy. Some hapless intern is sent to film from 400M on his smart phone the Middlesbrough team kicking footballs. What searing insights would the Southampton side have got? ‘Ok boss they’re kicking the ball with both their left and right feet. Sometimes they’re heading it.’ It’s all so silly. Southampton look like a right bunch of Charlies. But in the pantheon of great sporting scandals, this is pimple sized
We have been made aware of a distressing image doing the rounds today, suggesting Tottenham have beaten us 3-1.
This has clearly been photoshopped, and we will be taking this up with the relevant authorities.
Even we'd beat Spurs...
