Last night's pick is how teams like the Browns and Jags get bad and stay bad. We didnt get better last night, simple. We could have got a stud at 20 and traded up to grab pickett in 2nd that would have made more sense. 2 years in a row we didnt get what we needed in the 1st.
@Shamrock21191@Alex_Kozora Doubtful, I can see him being what Mason was for us behind Ben. Solid backup who you hope won’t have to play but could probably save your season if you needed him to hold the boat steady for 3-4 games in a season.
@rosskingmusic @Ameen_HGA@JeffDarlington BUT and this is a big but Johnny football was a much better athlete, had a better arm, played better competition, won a heisman, etc. It’s like being good at football was a big factor into both of these players and where they got drafted.
@bomani_jones Mike Greenberg and whoever else runs all the programs at ESPN, that’s who told you. That’s it. I didn’t hear it anywhere else. Didn’t see it when he played on the field either.
@andrew_moser@CFBWatcher Yes over Hunter. Hunter got beat up a good bit in college and was honestly more a top 25 CB than actually being in the convo for best corner or DB. Same goes for WR actually but he was more in the 30+ at the position.
@JoelPetro04 @georgewrighster@wright3737 I don’t even it’s that deep though. He’s very confident borders on cocky sure but he’s played some very good ball while at CU. Problem is he doesn’t translate to the NFL. Like it’s not that deep. He doesn’t have good zip on his ball and would get picked off all day.
@MikeGoolsby41@Soulpunx93 @NYsportsFAN2024 Idk if they are going to take another DT when there are some more pressing needs now that Harmon was picked. Could see him fall into the 6-7 range.
Let's remember that the Steelers are in quarterback hell right now because of Kenny Pickett.
In (admittedly) a pathetic QB draft class, the Steelers pandered to Pitt fans and drafted a guy they never would've taken if he didn't go to school here. And it's set them back years.
@GelAssault@D_Georgino@MikeGoolsby41 It’s what I have seen that makes me believe that he’s not the guy. And if a guy as highly touted as Carr can’t overcome Steve then the hype wasn’t warranted. He’s accurate in the short to medium ranges but has shown zero pocket awareness or ability to move around.
@MasonPlummer_ @Jst2fnky It’s not though you sour puss. He took a long hard look at Michigan last year if you don’t remember. Seems like there was something souring his time there. Calm down
@MasonPlummer_ You’re not understanding. I’m saying It’s obvious bc that’s what happened. As in ND for whatever reason was never going to match the bag for Bowden. And if they decided not to match I trust their reasons. I’m not implying I knew anything before the news broke.
@MasonPlummer_ I mean he obviously was it was just a matter of when. They threw the bag and ND didn’t want to match. It wouldn’t have mattered if we lost in the first round. Maybe a natty win keeps him but I doubt it. Highest paid GM in football, money talks.
