@WOLCT@Edinburgh_CC@SustransScot@PathsforAll @KSBScotland Great work on a cold day
I found an electric kettle in the river. Was hoping to break my duck on household electrical appliances that boil water and today was the day
Highlight was the bag of toothbrushes though.
The litter needs away everywhere
Picked up two bags of grot off loch fleet nature reserve today. It’s gotta go
Cleaned up one lay-by outside Inverness which was disgusting
A small dent in the rubbish but we feel good and it looks better
@WOLCT @CitadelYCLeith @Edinburgh_CC@PathsforAll And four bags of grot removed from streets around Leith too
Not much rubbish to be found today which either means folk have behaved themselves or I’m not looking hard enough
Love the colours of the seating btw. Very cheerful and well done with the painting work
Took it easy today and enjoyed lunch on the hill
Of course there was a bag of litter picked on the way home from Tescos because I can’t walk over it!
Rode over to see if tyres gone!
Nope
Firework detritus removed from Easter Craiglockhart Hill this morning
Area looks great and there’s lots to see now the leaves are down
Pontoon work is moving along but wood has been delayed
@AlistairFergu11@WOLCT Nice one
I love to hear what others do to clean up the places we live in; it’s energising to know that others try to improve our world too.
Thanks for sharing
(I’m still chasing council to remove the 20+ tyres I found in the city)
Lovely morning on Rocheid path and surrounds with @WOLCT
Managed a decent litter pick of four bin bags mostly from streets nearby
Gladdens the heart to see the river looking so lovely today
Dumped tyres not so good so have reported to council
Busy day on @WOLCT litter trail today
Great team work with Ian yielded 11 bin bags of grot off the streets of Longstone.
Mostly soft plastics which could get wind blown into the river
Longstone is a little bit more loved now
Busy time on the hill today
Clearing up a burnt out motorbike!
Cutting back overhanging branches from Lockharton a
Cleaning up the end of causeway
Removing dumped bikes
Attending geology walk
Tea time now
Busy afternoon with @FriendsOfECH
The pirate ship now has a mast and ships wheel
Still no Jolly Roger though. On the lookout for one
The salty dog sails once more
@mike56200 Yeah I came across it during a litter pick. It’s 4 miles from my house so a nice bike ride out, forty minutes of scrubbing and a very small piece of the world is a little more loved
And everyone loves a before and after pic!
Another two bin bags of cans and bottles removed from behind the wall beside railway line
Out of sight not out of my mind so it had to go
No pics cos forgot phone! Doh
Great session with @WOLCT this morning
Trawled the locale for rubbish and found four bin bags worth.
Great day for it
Found a bunch of tyres fly tipped near Warriston crematorium so have reported it
@EdinburghPicker Tis a familiar tale sadly. I’m still picking up picnic detritus from LNRs even though it’s such a lovely spot to hang out
We just keep on keeping on. The litterers will not prevail
Good work and well done
