Fed up with unbalanced woke brainrot. Doting grandad, Raspberry Pi owner, jazz fan, graduate linguist, Brexit convert. I don’t hate those who disagree with me.
The obvious question is if the police had taken an attack on Farage’s home more seriously, and bothered to investigate it properly, would Ann Widdecombe not have been bludgeoned to death in the most horrific way? Britain deserves so much better than this.
@DPJHodges It’s not reporting, it’s parroting the police line without any intelligent critical thinking.
It’s was bloody obvious at the time that the police line was blatantly implausible
If true, this won’t simply be a “blunder”. It will mean that Ann Widdecombe’s murder might have been prevented.
The suspect and his car were visible in the CCTV footage “over an extended period”. It seems improbable that this was an innocent oversight.
On current evidence, it seems Ann Widdecombe's murder may have been prevented had the firebombing of Farage's home (likely by the same suspect) been properly investigated.
The real story here is that this is potentially the biggest police protection failure in modern UK history.
THE HYPOCRISY HERE IS OFF THE SCALE.
Yesterday, after Cllr Gavin Callaghan published my home address, we then discovered something astonishing. In 2021, when an 80-year-old woman put an anti-Labour leaflet through his door, he called the police, went ballistic over his own security and the COUNCIL PAID TENS OF THOUSANDS OF POUNDS for CCTV and monitoring equipment at his home address.
And here is the kicker… The council is STILL paying for that security to this day.
So his home apparently deserves taxpayer-funded protection for years, yet my family home, where my 86-year-old disabled grandmother lives, can be thrown into the political arena. The irony is staggering.
People in glass houses should not throw stones. He should be ashamed of himself.
"Why does Nigel Farage need security?"
He has had two milkshake incidents. Cement thrown at him. Receives 300 threats every month.
An illegal Afghani migrant was found guilty of making a TikTok murder threat to kill Farage.
Joshua Kerry tried to kill Farage.
That answers why
Hodges embodies everything wrong with journalism today: narrative over news, opinion over objectivity, spite over substance. He's entitled to hate Reform, he isn't entitled to mock grief & deride what's now emerged as a real threat to Farage's life. Unkind, unprofessional & ugly.
Are you trolling us now?
I am a barrister. Every single barrister, judge, senior doctor, nurse, local business owner I know voted Leave.
Leave voters took the time and effort to consider their vote. To listen to the various groups (fishermen being the most obvious) it was clear that the EU was heading towards a Federal Project via the extension of remit of the ECJ. Set up as a Commercial Court to prevent anti-competition behaviour, the Maastricht and Lisbon Treaties widened the scope to Immigration, Matrimonial, Social care, Employment and Human Rights.
What’s the problem with that? You wail.
The problem is this: the laws being enforced by the ECJ are not from a democratically elected parliament, but from a body called the EU Commission.
This is an appointed body, not elected. Before you ask: No, unlike our parliament, the EU Parliament does not originate law. It rubber stamps them from the Commission.
Feel free to ask me any questions you may have on any of the EU treaties, I know them inside out.
Before I go.
Remain voters voted for the SQ. A lazy vote, just like the entire machine of the state: lazy.
Don’t you dare call me stupid for my vote.
An update on something that’s been happening over the past 12 months.
Somebody or some people threatened to kill my children. The offence would certainly carry a custodial sentence because it cited a weapon, vulnerable groups (children) and was done anonymously on social media. My family required 24/7 security and the kids even had someone walking to school with them. Thank you to GB News for all their support with that, we’re very grateful for all their help and concern.
Police located the account to an address in Tower Hamlets but after saying they were about to make arrests, they now say they won’t pursue it because it’s potentially one of three individuals and they can’t pinpoint which one it was. How about you go round and ask them - and you know, investigate?
Police are happy enough to make 12,000 arrests each year for social media posts but when it comes to threatening to kill children of someone who speaks up for the country, it’s apparently not a big issue despite the gravity of the offence.
The problem that arises from this is people start beginning to lose trust in the institutions that are meant to protect them. The institutions we pay for. And when that trust erodes, it’s not good for society.
Ann Widdecombe was slaughtered only months ago and I’m told on my own show by certain guests that words don’t kill people. Well, they do. And they have a huge impact on people’s lives.
Thank you again to GB News for all their support. They have been top class. Shame I can’t say the same about the police.
I know perfectly well what the law says. I’ve spent a lifetime covering trials you’ve only read about Dan. You hate Reform and you can’t even see how ridiculous you look. You should apologise for trivialising the threat to Nigel Farage before you look like even more of an arse.
• 6th May 2026, James O'Brien accused Nigel Farage of lying about terrorist attempts to fire bomb his home
• Today Joshua Kerry was charged with preparing terrorist acts against Nigel Farage
• Today @LBC deleted the 6 May 2026 James O'Brien show from @GlobalPlayer 🧐 #OBINGO
Absurdly Counter Terrorism chief Vicky Evans claimed the decision to further charge Joshua Kerry ( he was accused of murdering Ann Widdecombe) with planning terrorism acts against Nigel Farage was due to a “ hugely intensive and complex investigation”. No it wasn’t.
Police had the photo of somebody pushing a lit incendiary device through the letterbox of Farage’s London home early last year.
But they failed to push the photo out , closed the case and it was only when the alleged killer of Ms Widdecombe was identified after her murder in July this year - 16 months later- that they put two and two together.
If counter terror and the Met had taken the attack on the Reform leader seriously would Ann Widdecombe be alive today?
A serious question. Not helped by claiming the charge was due to a “ complex and intensive” investigation.
Full credit to @AngryBritishMum for remembering what O'B said about attempts to murder Farage.
Here he is, in May, mocking Farage's view of the risk to his life and dismissing the arson attack on his home that has now been confirmed as a terror attack.
How to be what?
[Interestingly @LBC have deleted this entire episode from their 'Whole Show' online catalog - however, they forgot iTunes.]

1. You swallow the police line like a lickspittle without question.
2. You assert that Reform are exaggerating the threats.
Only a moron would conclude you were not trivialising the danger.
Give it up mate. You got it wrong - AGAIN. Just admit it.
