I also believe that if the bullpen did their job and offense/defense helped out a bit I don’t think anyone would be concerned with Skenes.

Should’ve easily taken 5/6 games this road trip and hate the way the bullpen ended the game today.

With that being said I will never not take a .500 road trip. Especially when things were looking very dark game 2 in Sacramento. W/injuries just keep hovering around/above .500.

No one is “settling.” You guys are acting like this is the permanent Skenes and that he’s incapable of going back to his usual form. Even then Pirates should be winning his starts,

Pirates fans don’t deserve Skenes. He literally is the greatest thing to happen to the Pirates since who knows when and Pirates fans are crying because he’s underperforming a little bit right now. Skenes will finish top 3 in Cy Young this year if not win it again.

@victorthigpen24 I agree it’s frustrating that he hasn’t been efficient as usual and I’m not saying anyone who complains aren’t real fans. But other than 2-3 starts he’s had this year he has given the Pirates more than a good chance to win and it sucks they can’t.

Also about Mangum diving attempt last night. No one is talking about how Callahan literally kicked the ball to allow the inside the parker. It would have only been a triple if Callahan just picks it up normally.
