3 - Scotland have won their opening match at the FIFA World Cup for the third time (1974, 1982). They led their group after the first matchday each time with Brazil featuring in all three groups.
Atop.
The Champions League was created so that the same teams (Real Madrid Barcelona Bayern etc.) could stay at the top for 30 years and more
Because of that, there are fully grown adults who can’t understand that Vojvodina and Dukla Prague were once amongst the best teams in Europe
Retweet for a chance to win!

NEWS: The work mileage allowance for under 10,000 miles will rise by 10p to 55p backdated to April 2026.
So this means if you drive for work in your own car (like many care workers for example) you can be given up to 55p a mile tax and NI free. And if you're not given that level you can claim the tax back on the difference between what you're given and that amount
Eg so if you're given 30p /mile. You can reclaim tax paid on your wages for the 25p/mile difference.
You better believe I saved this image after Hearts won 3-2 at Tannadice back in August.
Top of the league after every round of fixtures since MD6 back in September and were Champions right up until the 87th minute on MD38.
Del the bottle job.
"Fortunate Son" is one of rock's most iconic songs and an anti-war anthem. It was written by John Fogerty and released by Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1969.
John Fogerty wrote the song in just 20 minutes, sitting on the edge of his bed. The inspiration came from his frustration with the Vietnam War and the United States' unfair draft system.
Fogerty had been drafted in 1967 and served in the Army Reserve, but he saw how the sons of wealthy, political, or influential families avoided going to war thanks to exemptions, connections, or secure jobs, while working-class young men were sent to the front lines.
A key moment was the 1968 wedding of David Eisenhower (grandson of former President Dwight D. Eisenhower) and Julie Nixon (daughter of President Richard Nixon). Fogerty saw in that elite a clear example of hypocrisy: those who supported the war did not suffer its consequences. That’s where the line “It ain’t me, I ain’t no senator’s son” came from.
The song is part of the album Willy and the Poor Boys and was released as a single alongside “Down on the Corner.” It reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and quickly became a symbol of the anti-war movement and the counterculture.
The lyrics denounce class inequality in times of war. Lines like “Some folks are born to wave the flag, ooh, they’re red, white and blue” mock the convenient patriotism of the powerful, while the chorus “It ain’t me, I ain’t no fortunate one” expresses the rejection of ordinary people.
It appears in films such as Forrest Gump, in video games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield, and has been covered by many artists (U2, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, among others). Rolling Stone ranked it at number 99 on its list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
Remembering Ralph Milne, who would have been 65 today
Brilliant player, as demonstrated by this exquisite chip against Dundee as Dundee United won the 1983 Scottish League Title
Sadly passed away in 2015, aged only 54
Sorely missed 🙏
This is what it's all about 👏
A couple of weeks ago, one of our followers on X, Bryan, reached out to us with an idea.
He had both the Yellow and Blue adidas ZX 8000 Consortium pairs, brand new with tags, and asked if he could send them down to us and then we could use them as competition prizes on MS Comps, with EVERY penny of profit going to charity.
Naturally, we said yes ❤️
All money raised will be donated to St Catherine’s Hospice, and both pairs are now live to win for just £1 each.
Big thanks to Bryan for such a generous gesture 👏
If you know someone who’d love these ZX 8000s, tag them below 👇
And if anybody else ever wants to do something similar for a charity close to them, feel free to drop us a private message. We can’t promise we’ll be able to do every request, but we’ll always try our very best where possible 🙌
It was a pleasure to speak with Michelle O’Neill, Mary Lou McDonald and John Swinney today.
