@RealMattCouch The husband's current mental health condition is missing from this story.
For that matter, what WAS his problem?
If the guns were confiscated because of his mental health seven years ago, that is an important detail in how guns in his house are handled today.
@RaymondArroyo You need to understand how viruses spread instead of mocking those of us that do.
Once masks and gloves are on and you are running more than one errand, you shouldn't remove them until you are completely done.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I live with a microbiologist who knows.
@CoateDan@RealCandaceO Are people really "getting on with their lives"? The numbers have not leveled off for long enough to signal a safe trend.
Note the closures of meat processing plants all over the country if you think I am a lunatic.
It's too early to declare victory.
@RealMattCouch Many small towns have one business such as a meat processing plant where everybody works.
Several people get sick & stay home. Remaining workers don't feel safe because their co-workers are sick & they feel like they might be next.
Realistically, what can be done about this?
@HerseyChris@quietcry@Cernovich Even if you aren't critical of your employer, with few exceptions, you can be fired for two reasons:
(1) Any reason
or
(2) No reason
@RealMattCouch Because customers will put their masks on the tables during their meal, say hello to disposable table covers and goodbye to condiment bottles on the table. Everything will be single-use and throw-away.
This will drive environmentalists nuts.
@MattLaslo@Cernovich Realistically, the action required to abolish the Electoral College would negatively impact the ones required to change it. This will never be amended.
2/3 House? Maybe
2/3 Senate? Maybe
3/4 of the States? Nope
38 states won't let it happen.
@___irrelevant__@TheKommentar@davereaboi Medical developments should no doubt reward innovation.
My only point was that in life-and-death medical situations, patent protection leading to price gouging is not in the best interest of humanity.
Patent laws should be different for those situations.
@JackPosobiec This virus is just too damn clever.
What we really need is a pandemic that instantly grows barnacles all over the body of the infected.
That way, nobody could question anything once they got it. And no testing would be necessary.
Win-win
@RexChapman This is one reason there can be false negatives with this type of test. If the swab doesn't collect a sample from the nasopharynx, the test is not as accurate as intended.
Forget "self-testing" on this type of swab. People can't stand the process even when administered by pros.
