The only functional point was to reduce regulatory friction for Musk family of companies and defang the agencies he was already in dispute with. It served those purposes well. Everything else was just the smokescreen for the gullible public who worships them.
The conversation is incredibly layered and nuanced and if we aren’t going to address everything, the last thing we’ll do is place the entire responsibility on Black consumers.
