This is a very good Brewers team and they just threw their two best starters at Atlanta when the Braves were short-handed and struggling against lefties.
Braves are 2-0 in those games. I know this team is frustrating to watch play right now, but the talent is still there.
Alex Anthopoulos deserves a lot of credit, despite the starting pitching situation. Losing four starting pitchers before the end of spring is brutal.
Mauricio Dubón, Robert Suarez, Mike Yastrzemski, Dom Smith, Martín Pérez and Jorge Mateo have all been crucial to the Braves 👏🏼
When #Braves got Mauricio Dubon from the Astros (for Nick Allen!) I yawned. Just another utility guy, I thought. Well, color me wrong. I think Dubon is the Braves 1st half MVP. He led them to a BIG 3-2 win over a great young Brewers pitcher. Let's win the series on Saturday!
Martín Pérez pitched a GEM tonight, keeping the Braves in it against Misiorowski 👏🏼

Coming off their most frustrating week of the season, the #Braves beat Jacob Misiorowski and the Brewers.
Mauricio Dubón and Mike Yastrzemski backed Martin Perez, who's now 6-3. Eli White gunned down the tying run at the plate in the 9th to help Raisel Iglesias earn the save.
Jorge Mateo made that two-run sixth happen with his leadoff infield single. The speedy shortstop has had a helluva game. Limited the Brewers to one run on Turang's third-inning single up the middle and made a great play on Cooper Pratt's slow grounder in the fourth
Martin Perez continues to deliver for the #Braves. He's been a valuable addition to a rotation that's been in flux since pretty much Day 1 of Spring Training.
Dom Smith and Austin Riley tallied second-inning singles, but Misiorowski escaped unscathed when Eli White swung through a second straight 104 mph heater
Weiss said there’s a possibility Michael Harris II might eventually go on the IL. But for now, they’re hoping he could be available in some role over the next few days.
From MLB Network’s research dept.
Jacob Misiorowski is on a historic run, going 7-0 with a 0.17 ERA (1 R in 54.1 IP) in his last eight starts. That’s the lowest ERA in any eight-start span since earned runs became an official statistic in both the AL and NL in 1913. (min 15 IP)
Chris Sale previously held the mark w/ a 0.20 ERA in an 8-start span in 2018 (w/ BOS).
• Miz is coming off one of the best pitching performances in Brewers’ history, a 1-hit shutout with 15 K vs. Philly last Friday (6-0 win). He faced the minimum while throwing 95 pitches.
o Miz’s fastball reached 104.5 mph, fastest by a starter since pitch tracking began in 2008.
• Misiorowski is averaging 100.1 MPH with his fastball this season. No starter has ever averaged triple-digits with their fastball in the pitch tracking era (min. 400 4-sm/sinker as SP).
• Miz leads the majors with a 1.34 ERA, .140 opponents’ batting average, 131 strikeouts, and a 39.8 K% this season (min: 60 IP).
The #Braves tonight acquired C Joey Bart from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for RHP Hunter Stratton. To make room on the 40-man roster, Atlanta designated C Sandy León for assignment.
Michael Harris II felt better than expected yesterday. With the strong possibility today’s game is rained out, this could be another day of rest. When his back tightened on June 5, he pinch hit on June 7 and was back in the lineup on June 9. We’ll see if this latest back ailment calls for a similar timetable
