It seems to me that all attempts to better yourself spiritually will leave you frustrated if you don't identify the 'self' first. The 'I' at the center of you is already whole, healthy, content, joyful, eternal, and at peace.
The future of the Christian Tradition is LGBTQ+ affirming. Not because affirming Christians have compromised our faith, but because we are following the call of the Spirit. God has ALWAYS been affirming of Their LGBTQ+ kids. We are just catching up to what’s always been true.

Exactly. The misconception that affirmative action meant unqualified people have been admitted into college solely because of their race was never true and is quite frankly an ignorant interpretation. Thank you @joyannreid for setting the record straight and sharing your truth!
The evangelical task is to present ways in which people need to be liberated and then place Jesus at the center of freedom. This generation rejects hell as the boogeyman. Perhaps it's time to move to topics that actually matter to them. Self worth, loneliness, purpose. What else?
