Among the top concerns from Austin's delegation to the state House was how to move forward following the successful push from Texas Republicans to pass new congressional maps — and the potential that the state GOP may look to further redraw those maps. https://t.co/XVO1hH2kgF
This April is the 25th anniversary of Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month.
Across Texas, too many people, especially women and people of color, are impacted by sexual violence. Prevention is possible, starting with education and resources supporting survivors. #SAAM -TH

Today, we recognize the National Farmworkers Movement, honor Dolores Huerta's work & uplift survivors.
While today is painful, we must never forget the important fight for fair pay & safe working conditions for farmworkers, as well as justice for sexual assault survivors. -TH

Congratulations @samanthalopezTX I know you are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the Texas House! Thank you for serving the constituents of HD 48 for the last six years. I am so excited to work with you on the House Floor next session! #txlege
We did it!
HD 50- you made a young woman from the Valley with big dreams, the daughter of immigrants, and a first-gen college graduate the Democratic nominee for House District 50. I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of great Democratic leaders like Mark Strama, Celia Israel, and James Talarico who held this seat before me.
Representing HD50 will be the honor of my life. I can’t wait to champion the issues that matter most to our community such as public education, healthcare access, reproductive freedom, and affordability. After years working as a legislative staffer, I will be ready on day one.
I also want to thank my friends Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch, Jeremy Hendricks, John Hash, Nathan Boynton, and William Rannefield for running alongside me. Rep. Talarico said it best- we had an embarrassment of riches in candidates running for this seat. They made me better and I look forward to working with them and their supporters to build a Texas that works for everyone.
Thank you again. Let’s get to work.
