SQA results are out at 9.30 so I presume by 9.45 we'll have either the SQA or SNP blaming teachers, which was *always* the plan this year.

And there we have it! It's buried in the stats report, but confirmation that the Highers attainment gap, which decreased last year, has increased this year due to the system put in place by SQA and SNP. Balancing the books on the backs of the poor.

The *number of passes* may be up but the *pass rate* (which is a much more useful figure) has gone down since last year.

@Frederi00875507 @S_A_Somerville @JohnSwinney I’m a pupil and I did sit exams. Everyone involved in education knows this. We satvexams under exam conditions. You don’t have to lie on behalf of the SNP, they do it enough themselves.

@Frederi00875507 @S_A_Somerville @JohnSwinney Instead we were told near the end of October what was happening. And they weren’t even clear. The gov constantly said we were not doing exams when we actually had to sit more than usual, just not national exams. Teachers did not decide our grades.

The big difference is that we would know early on and there would be no confusion as to whether or not pupils are sitting exams because now half the country thinks we didn’t

@S_A_Somerville No thanks to the SQA or Scottish government who didn’t set out a clear plan for the exams until October. And then claimed we weren’t sitting any exams when in fact we had to sit more than ever. Pupils and Teachers are still waiting for @JohnSwinney to be held accountable.
