FOOD FACT: Cajun cuisine uses the Holy Trinity of vegetables — green bell pepper, celery, and onion. These are known to add to the unique and flavorful aroma of Cajun and Creole dishes. These vegetables are roughly diced.
Mmmmmm.....Beignets: Square-shaped pieces of fried dough, topped with powdered sugar. The basic beignet is made with fewer ingredients than you can count on one powder-covered hand, though you can often find these bad boys stuffed with savory or sweet ingredients.
