Kyle Williams had 4 vets ahead of him with experience in McDaniels/Mcd adjacent offenses.
In limited opportunity he separated deep and caught the ball.
With firmer grasp of offense, full offseason in NFL weight training and better talent around him, I really do expect a jump.
@LittleSaintNick I haven’t been there obviously but I think the report about Chism out-repping KW is disingenuous. My understanding is Chism is running solely with second team, KW with the first team. So as the 3rd/4th option on the first team, he would see less reps than Chism on 2nd team.
@suzukisapers Well, I guess you disagree with my reasoning in the post you’re replying to haha (which is totally fair). He made huge plays is very limited opportunity.
Vrabel keeps bringing him up unprovoked so I do think they have bigger expectations for him. He’s done it like 4 times.
Diggs is obviously still a good player but I think Kyle Williams adds real speed that would otherwise be missing from the offense. Brown and Doubs aren’t slow but they aren’t burners the way Williams is. Williams developing could potentially take offense to a new level.
Now if Diggs returns, KW will def be a bit buried on depth chart, so I wouldn’t expect a sizable jump.
Honestly, I would interpret a Diggs signing as a bit of an indictment on KW’s development, which would be a bummer. Diggs returning would sort of be bittersweet to me.
Last year on tight window throws, Drake Maye ranked:
1st in precision pass rate
1st in QBR
1st in completion over expected
Over the last 3 years, AJ Brown ranked:
1st in yds/route run
1st in catches
1st in first downs
Seems good!
@msully5433 A lot of guys who played a good amount in 2025 going into year 2 too… Henderson, Woodson, Campbell, Wilson, Ponder, Williams, etc.
If some of these guys make a jump… cooking with gas.
