The South African parliament decision to cut all diplomatic ties with apartheid Israel reminded them that our country is not under white minority rule, with its tricameral black potentates anymore. It may have felt that way since 1994, but the EFF’s presence in parliament will NOT allow ANC to turn its back against the history of the black condition. We never forgot the true friends of our democracy and liberation. We know that Israel is not one of them. Israel would have preferred Afrikaner Apartheid to perfect separate development. We know this because when the “whole” world imposed sanctions on Afrikaner apartheid, Israel was the only state in the “whole” world that never cut ties with the apartheid regime. Israel continued to trade, even in arms with the apartheid regime that was subjecting hundreds of thousands of school children to detention without trial, killing & torturing thousands more in the 1980s. Moreover, the idea that South Africa’s apartheid was brought to an end by peaceful negotiations is dishonest & pure historical revisionism. This is the illusion or even a lie that makes parties like DA & IFP resist the international isolation of Israeli Apartheid. The Afrikaner apartheid regime was forced kicking and screaming to the table of negotiations by boycotts. The international isolation of apartheid through boycotts, divestments and sanctions, the battle of Cuito Cuanavale, internal resistance that included Stayaways, sabotage and mass demonstrations; these are the reasons De Klerk chose the path of negotiations. Between the unbanning of liberation political parties and the first democratic elections, there was violent confrontations between the ANC & IFP that led to over 20 000 deaths. This war was over the future of South Africa. And therefore negotiations took place over thousands of dead black bodies. Our political freedom was not a gift of peace. It came through an unacknowledged war. A painful past in which Israel chose the wrong side. Chose to side with the white minority and murderous apartheid regime! No justice. No peace! You can fotsek from South Africa.
