VOLUNTEER VICTORY IN IDAHO! Moms Demand Action volunteer Jimmy Hallyburton has been re-elected to the Boise City Council! We know @JimmyforBoise will continue to work to keep our communities safe! #DemandASeat
Yesterday was democracy in action, one of the biggest voter turnouts (numbers and percentage) in Boise history, and Iโm beyond excited for the road ahead.
Iโm waking up this morning with a lot of hope and two big takeaways from last nightโs election results:
1. The Boise values I grew up with are strong and growing stronger. Last night Boise elected a slate of community-focused and future-focused candidates.
As the most senior person on Boise City Council, I am excited for the opportunity to help lead this amazing team. Iโm excited to work together on shared visions, and Iโm excited to disagree on issues, learn from each other, and move forward together.
Another great day of GOTV knocking! ๐ช๐
I won't be on the ballot this year, but proud to support Councilmember Colin Nash this morning to make sure folks have everything they need to vote.

My birthday is tomorrow (Saturday) and I'm celebrating by getting out in District 6 and door knocking for @laurenmclean! This election is super important. I'd love to have you join me!
As summer temps continue to climb, neighborhood pools play an increasingly vital role in helping residents beat the heat. Iโm eager to find creative solutions to get Lowell Pool back up and running with much-needed accessibility upgrades so that everyone can swim and play.
I'm proud to be a Boisean every day of the year. During @boisepride, it feels extra special. ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ
Walking through the heart of Downtown Boise during the parade as neighbors cheer for each person, was a reminder of why I love our community โ the love we must show all year.
I hope this Boise Pride weekend is a reminder that Boise is a place where EVERYONE, exactly the way they are, belongs. And that Boise is better and brighter when EVERYONE is valued. I hope it's a reminder the Boise is strong and beautiful when we ALL stand together.
Today, I officially filed for Boise Cit Council, District 6!
Itโs been an honor to serve, and Iโm eager to keep riding for District 6 โ and ALL of Boise!
I'm honored to have @SamSandmire's support:
"I have been so impressed with Jimmyโs thoughtful and effective leadership on Boise City Council. He consistently advocates for creative, sustainable solutions that make Boise better for everyone."
- Sam Sandmire
I'm honored to have Rep @MathiasForIdaho as my treasurer:
"Jimmy Hallyburton has a deep commitment to service, including all of its unglamorous aspects. He dedicates his time to serve our neighbors and make our community measurably better and brighter every day."
- Rep Mathias
I feel so lucky to have been one of the many pieces of the puzzle that made it possible, and so humbled to be in such good company with our City of Boise staff and community partners that did the heaviest lifting.
I can't wait for the ribbon cutting and move-in day!
It was such an honor to be a part of the groundbreaking of Wilson Station!
This was one of the very first affordable housing projects I approved in '20, and will be one of the most impactful for our community.
102 affordable units, a childcare facility on the bottom floor, an enhanced pedestrian crossing on State Street to access the Greenbelt, a new pedestrian walkway for the kids living at Wilson Station to get to Taft Elementary, and so much more!
