I wasnโt planning on going initially, but my boss texted me yesterday saying he got four tickets for him, myself and two other buds to catch Jimmy Eat World next week.
I guess at the end of the day, I just wish the punk bands that get bigger didnโt disregard their earlier records because those albums hold so many great songs and memories. Also, The Gaslight Anthem and Sink or Swim but theyโve been better about that recently.
The Dream Is Over is a great record, but PUPโs first record will always have my heart. There was such an atmosphere around that band when it dropped and their show at Schubaโs really sealed that. Incredible band through and through.
I feel the same way about the Menzingers though, too. Chamberlain Waits is such an important record to me. Lays the groundwork for whatโs to come and has some of the best songwriting of their career despite being their second record.
