I guess at the end of the day, I just wish the punk bands that get bigger didn’t disregard their earlier records because those albums hold so many great songs and memories. Also, The Gaslight Anthem and Sink or Swim but they’ve been better about that recently.

The Dream Is Over is a great record, but PUP’s first record will always have my heart. There was such an atmosphere around that band when it dropped and their show at Schuba’s really sealed that. Incredible band through and through.

I feel the same way about the Menzingers though, too. Chamberlain Waits is such an important record to me. Lays the groundwork for what’s to come and has some of the best songwriting of their career despite being their second record.
