Quick PSA for iOS devs: don’t install beta macOS and beta Xcode on your only development Mac. I did, and App Store Connect rejected my build because the SDK wasn’t supported. Keep a stable setup for releases—you’ll save yourself a lot of trouble 😅

DAY 2:

I’m questioning the product direction today.

A YouTube transcript + AI notes extension is useful, but maybe too generic.

The real problem I want to solve is not:
“Can AI summarize this video?”

It is:
“Is this video worth my time?”

That changes the product.

The output should not only be notes.

It should help me decide:
- watch
- skim
- skip

Still thinking through the positioning.
But I’d rather ask this now than build the wrong product faster.

DAY 1:

I got the first version working.

The extension can now read the transcript from a YouTube video and keep the timestamps.

This is the key technical step for the MVP.

Now the flow works:

1. Open a YouTube video
2. Extract transcript
3. Send it to AI
4. Generate notes
5. Jump back to useful timestamps

Still rough, but it feels real now.

Next:
I need to design the AI output.

Not just “summary”.

The real question is:
Is this video worth watching?

DAY 0:
I’m starting a small build-in-public project.

The problem:
I waste too much time watching YouTube videos that look useful but turn out to be repetitive or low-value.

The idea:
Paste a YouTube link → get a summary, key timestamps, and a simple judgment:
watch, skim, or skip.

Goal:
Build the MVP, launch it, and share everything I learn along the way.
