"So Donald Trump, he's been in office now a year and a half. What's Donald Trump's greatest accomplishment in his first year and a half?" Jason Selvig of the political comedy group The Good Liars asked a Trump supporter on the street.
Never for a moment, not in the most untamed regions of our imagination, did we expect an answer like the one this woman delivered.
"Trump's done a lot of things. Number one, a lot that people don't realize, he got our country back because we've been under the reign of Great Britain the last 125 years," she said, completely serious. "They destroyed the evidence."
"What? Wait, what? We've been under the reign of Great Britain for the last 125—" asked a stunned Selvig.
"When Charles came here, he thought that he was going to manipulate Donald Trump. And Trump went along with him because that's who he is..." the woman continued. "But that's what the 250 years was really about, was we got our independence back."
"Wait a second. Sorry, sorry, sorry..." said Selvig, struggling to follow her deranged logic. "We've been under control for the last 125 years by Great Britain?"
"Mhm," she said, nodding sagely.
"Even though we've got, you know, the strongest army in the world and all that stuff?" asked Selvig.
"It's true. The truth is there," said the Trumper.
"Where did you see this? Where did you see this?" asked Selvig.
"You're just going to have to research just like I did. You're gonna have to. It's true," said the woman.
This is what passes for political thinking on the right. These people have completely rotted their minds with a constant diet of Fox News paranoia, InfoWars conspiracy theories, and insane bullshit cooked up by MAGA influencers looking to farm clicks.
An entire swath of this country now lives in a fever swamp of delusions, egged on by their demented, pedophile President who will endorse any lie so long as he thinks he can squeeze some votes out of it.
It's frankly astonishing that these people's votes counts as much as yours.
As for Selvig's question, the simple fact is that Trump has zero accomplishments to his name, which is why he has become so fixated on his ballroom, the Reflecting Pool, and other superficial renovations. He's grasping for a physical legacy because the history books will remember him as a dark stain on the American presidency, a pedophile who lost an illegal war, destroyed America's status as a superpower, and tanked the global economy.

BREAKING: A federal judge DEMANDS to know why the MAGA-controlled Kennedy Center Board has kept the building's facade covered by an ugly tarp for over two months now.

“It has become clear that Defendants are maintaining scaffolding and a tarp to cover the Kennedy Center’s facade to frustrate the intent of the Court’s order that the Center be returned to a memorial exclusively honoring President Kennedy,” stated Congresswoman Joyce Beatty.
Meanwhile, the explanation provided to U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper by Trump's lackeys was exactly as unconvincing as you'd expect—
“Water testing and structural repairs to the roof overhang of the Center’s front portico require the use of a scaffolding system, including a protective covering—a tarp—around that scaffolding,” Department of Justice attorneys insisted to the court when asked.
But Beatty, who sued over the attempts to remake the center in Trump's image, is calling BS. She says that the real purpose of the tarp is to “hide their embarrassment" after they were court-ordered to remove Trump's name.
President John F. Kennedy's name has been restored and once that tarp comes down, social media will be flooded with triumphant photographs rubbing the defeat in Trump's face. He can't stand the thought of such widespread mockery.
Beatty's attorneys pointed out that other parts of the building are not covered up. Only the facade, which is where the building's name is mounted, remains covered. The administration isn't even bothering to gin up plausible deniability here.
“Defendants tellingly have not done so for months, leaving only the Center’s iconic name obscured—a strong indication that this structure has nothing to do with the roof and is, instead, meant to defy a return to the status quo,” the lawyers wrote.
Last week, the Kennedy Center Board attempted to bypass the order to remove Trump's name by voting to add an inscription to the facade that would read beneath its official name “Restored and Renovated by President Donald J. Trump." They also voted to rename the center’s grounds to the “President Donald J. Trump Plaza.”
Beatty called the move an act of "naked defiance" to the court's ruling.
“This latest development is a transparent effort to circumvent the Court’s ruling, and flies in the face of the statutes that Congress passed,” she said. “I will continue to fight for this treasured national monument.”

This is why Melania hasn’t even moved into the White House, instead choosing to remain in New York.

“Practically speaking, there is no room for her.”
On the one hand, you can’t really blame Melania for wanting to be rid of it all. It’s been clear for a very long time that their marriage is just for show and that Melania wants little to do with her accused pedophile racist husband.
But on the other hand, the fact that she’s willing to put up with all this in order to keep profiting from Trump’s corruption shows what a cynically evil, self-serving person she really is.

According to a bombshell report from Reuters, the U.S. Army has "used up much of its stockpile of highly accurate long-range missiles during its five-month war with Iran," a stunning fact that was exposed by "three people familiar with the data."
The loss of these weapons means that the United States is now far less ready to engage in future conflicts against near-peer rivals or ascendant multipolar juggernauts like China.
The expended missiles were primarily Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM) — which cost close to $1 million of your tax dollars apiece — and "virtually all" of them are now gone.
And what has the United States gained by burning through these precious weapons? Innocent children are dead, Iran now exerts direct control over the Strait of Hormuz, and Americans are paying more for gas and groceries. Trump has delivered an astounding military defeat and deeply weakened the United States in the process.
Future historians will look back on this war as an act of profound national self-destruction. The U.S. never stood to gain anything. None of our national interests were at stake and Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons. Trump started this war because Israel wanted to destroy a regional adversary to make their territorial expansion dreams into Lebanon and beyond a reality.
As if that weren't bad enough, Reuters also reports that the loss of these missiles means that Trump "may have to rely more on riskier, piloted bombing missions" against Iran, meaning putting American pilots in danger. We've already lost too many brave service men and women to this pointless war. Unless Trump backs off, we may soon lose even more.

BREAKING: A friend of Mitch McConnell's wife's family EXPOSES his supposed "proof-of-life" photo by pointing out the one detail that makes ZERO sense.
His staff really thought that they'd get away with this?
Jeff Yang, an author and podcaster who knows two of Elaine Chao's sisters from his Harvard days is calling foul on the photo, according to The Daily Beast.
“I’ve known members of the Chao family—specifically, Elaine’s apolitical sisters (Grace and the late Angela)—since our college years,” Yang wrote on Bluesky.
Then he revealed the flashing red detail that gives it all away...
“I can’t imagine Elaine, one of the most put-together people in existence, releasing a pic wearing a thin shirt over a visible black bra, UNTUCKED,” he said. “Just implausible.”
"Most implausible aspect of the image: ELAINE IS DEPICTED WEARING a $12 CHICO'S SHIRT. HOLY CRAP SHE WOULD RATHER DIE," Yang added, attaching a screenshot of the McConnell and Chao photo alongside separate pictures of the shirt in question.
To date, McConnell's office has released just two unconvincing photos to "prove" that the senator is alive following his hospitalization and amidst growing speculation that he's either deceased or braindead.
It would be a simple matter to put the rumors to rest. McConnell could do a brief face-to-face interview with a reputable journalist or at the very least release a video addressing his constituents. The latter option would still leave some uncertainty because of how convincing AI-generated content is these days, but it would at least be a step in the right direction.
As for Yang's observation, we definitely think that he's onto something. Chao is a woman who married a monster to obtain closer proximity to power. All of her public facing behavior would lead one to conclude that she cares deeply about public perception. If McConnell's office were REALLY going to take a photo and release it, Chao would have put effort into her appearance. It's not like she's too stressed or overwhelmed by her husband's condition to worry about anything else, she flew to China right after he was admitted.
Right now, it seems entirely possible that the images from McConnell's office are old or AI-generated. The longer that they refuse to provide actual evidence that he's alive, the worse this will get for them!

Countless Americans are struggling to even afford groceries, but the President wants to burn through our taxes to wage a war he can’t win on behalf of Israel’s national interests. And standing at the front of this historic debacle is Hegseth, a man who would be out of his depths in two inches of water.
“I think he’s got a massive insecurity complex, he has a lack of experience in large organizations, he micromanages too much. He’s lost my confidence,” Tillis said of Hegseth.
But Tillis isn’t the only Republican who feels this way. He revealed that there are “other people” who are just “one decision or another” away from speaking out against Hegseth’s disastrous tenure. Given how quickly this alcoholic, washed up Fox News host makes mistakes, we will inevitably reach the tipping point where the political cost of speaking out (and thus incurring the ire of the MAGA base) is more palatable than the cost of silence.
The Hill spoke to an anonymous Republican senator who is “close to Defense policymakers” and they revealed just how dire the confidence crisis has become for Hegseth.
“I have heard out of the Pentagon that there’s a loss of confidence — within the Pentagon. And of course then everyone here on the Hill hears those same concerns,” the lawmaker said.
In addition to the botched Iran War, Hegseth has instituted a culture of ignorance and fear at the Pentagon, derailing the promotions of highly qualified female service members and forcing respected, experienced leaders into early retirement.
“Everybody knows about some of the Game of Thrones stuff going on with some of the other service secretaries and Hegseth,” said Tillis. “It seems like he wants to run the whole place.”
“When you’re a leader, you better damn sure have people smarter than you in the room,” he added. “You’re supposed to be air traffic control for all these brilliant people and he’s undermining the DOD’s success by undermining these brilliant people who spent their career in uniform.”
The problem is that with Hegseth, no matter what room he steps into, every single person in it is smarter than him. But rather than embrace his own profound intellectual limitations, he lashes out, childishly punishing people for knowing more than him. His perfect version of the Pentagon is a building full of 80 IQ men (because he only wants men around him) who do nothing but flatter his ego and praise his idiotic decisions.
Another Republican senator told The Hill that there are “rumblings” about the stunning failure to anticipate Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz — which virtually every geopolitical analyst predicted.
“I think there’s a sense it’s taken longer than what we thought and that maybe our strategy didn’t factor in the Strait of Hormuz or [Iran’s] ability to be willing to hit their neighbors. I think there was some miscalculations maybe,” the senator said.

A petulant Donald Trump wants a trade war with Canada. Now, Ontario Premier Doug Ford just showed him exactly what that actually costs.
Responding to Trump's new 50% tariffs on Canadian goods, Ford announced Ontario is banning all U.S.-based companies from participating in the province's government procurement contracts, effective immediately.
This isn't small change: Ontario and its agencies spend approximately $30 billion annually on procurement, layered on top of a massive $200 billion infrastructure plan. American businesses just lost access to tens of billions of dollars in potential revenue.
"They only have President Trump to blame," Ford said bluntly.
But Ford didn't stop there. In a move dripping with well-deserved symbolism, Ontario is completely tearing up its contract with Starlink — Elon Musk's satellite internet company. "It's done, it's gone," Ford declared.
The message is unmistakable: Ontario isn't interested in enriching companies tied to an administration actively waging economic war against Canadian workers and families.
"We won't award contracts to people who enable and encourage economic attacks on our province and our country," Ford said.
And Ford isn't going it alone. He's calling on all 444 municipalities across Ontario to adopt the same procurement ban, with cities like Brampton, led by Mayor Patrick Brown, already stepping up to join the fight.
This is shaping up as a coordinated, province-wide — and potentially nationwide — economic response, with Ford explicitly framing it as part of "Team Canada's" opening salvo against Trump's tariffs.
Let's be clear about what's happening here.
Trump picked this fight, hitting Canadian goods with punishing tariffs over shifting, often contradictory justifications, from wildfire smoke to retaliatory grievances over alcohol sales.
Ontario isn't backing down or begging for mercy. It's hitting back, strategically and forcefully, by cutting American companies out of tens of billions in Canadian taxpayer dollars.
Trump wanted Canada to come "running back," as he put it. Instead, he's getting a united, defiant response that's going to cost American businesses dearly.
And meanwhile, who is going to ultimately pay that 50% tariff on imported Canadian goods? American consumers, that’s who.
