@blightedomen I was going to make another comment about the relatively low cost of smaller computers for retro gaming like the Raspberry Pi but it has nearly doubled in cost since 3 months prior. Damn.

@blightedomen Keep in mind this depends on your area though! I knew a variety of people that weren't well off but had a local net cafe or gaming cafe that was cheap enough that they could go every weekend or so! Also nowadays these places let you use steam and such so gaming isn't as gated!

@Old_Game_Plus @mpoopy992712 @giodotblue I think the primary issue here is a lack of vocab to describe the variety of people that enjoys games through the lens of play throughs. For instance there are many games that I would dislike playing but enjoy through the lens of certain people interacting with the game!

@SnipperJoey2 @_mangrub @Emonnnnnnnnnnn Also pro tip as a migraine haver, use night mode and/or reduce brightness in settings and play in a dark room with ambient noise. Additionally take a break and walk around for 3-7 minutes and hydrate well. Usually I don't need to do this unless the game is borderline TOO colorful

@SnipperJoey2 @_mangrub @Emonnnnnnnnnnn In THEORY any single player game can be but uh... No. Nobody is gonna sink the requisite hours in to do that blind. I think the best argument as pertains to epilepsy is that you can slow a video down to reduce flashing intensity while still getting to experience a cutscene!
