In a statement provided to PC Gamer following Gamescom, HoYoverse confirmed that Nodus Fall will not rely on a traditional gacha model.

Key monetization details:

• Free-to-Play structure

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES concerts planned for Oct 22–23, 2026.

Although we have coordinated repeatedly with all parties concerned and explored every possible option in our efforts to make this event happen, we were unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US, so we have come to the painful conclusion that holding the concerts is no longer possible.

To all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the show, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this causes, and for announcing this so close to the event date.

Due to this cancellation, we will process refunds for the following:
・On-site viewing tickets
・Streaming tickets

In addition, we are looking into possible responses to Trainers who were planning to attend the concert in person. This will take some time, so we ask for your patience. Details will be announced on the 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR official website.

THE VISA CRISIS IN THE U.S.

The UMAMUSUME: Pretty Derby concert in L.A. was cancelled, the 4th after KPOPWORLD, TAEMIN and recently a prominent VA from Wuthering Waves that also was unable to enter the U.S. for the concert.

According to the USCIS, it is found that the backlogs of Performance visas have gotten worse, with 2026 nearly doubled in backlogs, from 3.5 months to 5.1 months median. After FY 2024, the length of finalization were delayed ever longer, indicating the current administration is behind these slower process times and tougher approvals to deter immigration visits.

Even if Cygames paid for premium processing (which is nearly $3,000 an individual), there's a 50/50 chance they will encountered a trap known as the Request For Evidence (RFE) trap which will push the approval clock back further. Being the concert having 17 performers, staff and production teams, the RFE would be the reason of the approval not finalized in those 6+ months.

According to USCIS processing times, 80% of non-premium visa cases are finalized in 13 months, more than the 6 months Cygames had to process, which whether premium or not, forced them to make an ultimatum and cancel the LA shows.

2026 has been the toughest year for international acts to perform in the country and many are feeling this pain and may continue unless companies apply far in advance, or there's changes in the government. Entertainment companies that had acts performed here have knowledge of the complications with the American visa process. @umamusume_eng

Totes late on posting this since the store was open yesterday and thats when I bought the things lol

Wanted to get the suitcase photo but I was checked out of the hotel, had to stuff them into my luggage in the hotel lobby and didn't want to snap the photo there, passed tf out after my red-eye flight, then forgot until right now and its 9pm lol

Since I wasn't able to get in on Saturday they were kind enough to put me and others who go cut off on a priority list to get stuff from that store when it opens up, which was really nice for those who couldn't come back the next day like me and I will probs order a daughter plush that I couldn't bc they were sold out.

When the 6-7pm timeslots came back they got inserted infront of the person infront of me and they were the last ones they could take in before the concert lol
