Casey DeSantis is married with three kids. Laura Loomer is unmarried and childless and has allowed those things to poison her with resentment. But that is true for many people around Trump: they have dysfunctional personal lives, and politics is all they have. They gravitate to Trump because he’s the same way.

Casey is with Ron constantly; Melania didn’t even attend Trump’s arraignment in NYC or his post-arraignment speech in Mar-a-Lago. Melania also reportedly threatened to renegotiate her and Don’s prenup after he was ordered to pay $5 million to E. Jean Carroll. Around the time of the trial, Melania discussed increasing her monthly allowance and Barron Trump’s inheritance. She is essentially making Trump pay her to be his wife in public. It’s admirable how much she looks out for Barron, though.

The bottom line is that you cannot save a country with a movement led by people whose personal lives are so dysfunctional it manifests as dysfunctional politics. People so severely compromised in their personal lives will be compromised politically.
