So, treat this (another) bloody account to publish some of my personal thoughts without going through @FromTheBSHQ. (Twitter Circles are limited, so I should consider also gunning up a separate fediverse account for this.)
hot take: white people obsessed with “being nice” in the face of oppression because when they oppress marginalized folks they dont wanna be yelled at 😬
Re-sharing this database of BIPOC-authored papers from across psychology. This is a wonderful resource, esp. for those aiming to diversify their syllabi, journal clubs, citation networks, and general awareness. Please add your or others' papers!

We know that both racism and ableism are rampant. People seem to accept that. But when I call out specific people for being racist or ableist, I get called an abuser or manipulative or violent or toxic. Especially when the people are left leaning. People wanna excuse it.
Some therapists think it's your time w/ them that will determine the quality of your life. It's not. Your time in session is the one minute a fighter spends in their corner between rounds. The fight is out there in the ring.

Autistic people may find it hard to set boundaries, because we’re so used to being uncomfortable and having to give so much to every situation that we might not know where to draw the line. How uncomfortable is too uncomfortable? How much is too much to give/tolerate?
Why am I so scared someone will tell me 'I don't believe you're autistic' like I AM but what if they think im faking it? Like does someone have that scared feeling too or? bc im so good at masking like ughh
The “I’m an eccentric person who feels exhausted all the time, can’t shut down my brain, despises bright lights, is all-or-nothing and keeps getting into tricky social situations” to “woah, I’m Autistic and ADHD!” pipeline.
