Now in Wiemar, home of Goethe, the Wiemar Republic and one of the prettiest libraries I’ve ever seen. Full of wonderful architecture inc Bauhaus. I can see why it’s known as the spiritual home of Germany

Inspired by the recent anniversary of the Stockton to Darlington railway, paid a trip to Shildon to see where it all began. Locomotion is a wonderful museum with lots of famous trains. Great to see Locomotion itself and Sans Pareil from the Rainhill trials a few years later.
