On January 14, 2026, a tragedy occurred in my locality in a village called Gidado. Armed separatist fighters attacked the Mbororo community and killed 14 people including children, some as young as 2 years old. This is unbelievable and devastating.

Today, I am filled with anger and rage following the death of Cameroon's opposition figure Anicet Ekane in military detention. He was brutally arrested in October 2025 after he contested the results of rigged presidential elections that gave Biya another mandate

He was taken into custody and allegedly denied access to his medication. This is barbaric and inhumane and constitute crimes against humanity. Just like Ekane, many people are being killed in cameroon just to protect power. Anicet didn't deserve to die this way.
