When you lay a match out and have so many spots called that you take a big move and just literally forget to sell, that is like a negative stars match.
The reason the 40/50 year Olds run the main event scene is because WWE never had the guts to fully run with the new guys when they had the momentum. Didn't even require creativity, just conviction and a plan
@WrestleFeatures@ChrisWrassling I think they need to give him a strong 6 month arc, have him 'earn' the respect and reverence of the crowd by building momentum. He can no longer be the unstoppable machine now, but he can be a badass built on grit and hunger to be THE MAN
WWE Main Event scene is so uninspired. Same faces constantly, 40 years continously getting pushed and positioned at the top while the young guys get cucked.
Get some fresh faces in the mix
We could have Oba vs Roman and Bron vs Cody at SS, instead it's the old age home
Jesus Christ, can we book some fucking new people. Create new stars, new stories, new and fresh gimmicks with different dynamics. Every week there's another 40 year old getting a push, no wonder the shit is in the gutter
WWE's booking of Bron Breakker has been nothing short of underwhelming. He was meant to be in line to win the World Title at Mania and now he's always losing
The blame for the Bloodline takeover again falls solely on Triple H. Roman did what he did in 2020 let WWE fall flat on its face then convinced higher ups he can get them back to where they were if he’s given everything and they again gave him everything
Triple H fumbled Cenas retirement tour, Cody’s first ever title reign, Gunther’s world title reign and momentum, Brons momentum, every women’s world title reign, completely abandoned the storytelling methodology that got fans on his side and destroyed his own product for viral clips he couldn’t follow up on. We can blame TKO all we want but the weekly shows, the B tier PLEs have been shit and it’s because of him.
Now we’re stuck with the Bloodline story starting up AGAIN and everyone else being pushed further into the back burner to accommodate it.
Tomorrow’s RAW taping is outdrawing this PPV and WWE’s last PLE did 19K. So by this logic, WWE fans must be super pleased with the product right?
BTW, 12K tickets “sold” in a venue that holds a capacity of 20K = sellout apparently. 🤷🏿♂️
Apparently according to some hardcore AEW fans I've dealt with tonight, these are the rules with wrestling today:
It's OK to use "C" grade celebrities, as long it's on a pre-show, even if they don't bring in any new viewers anymore .
Bringing in Grammy-winning A celebrities that could bring in new viewers is not OK on the main card, even though WWE doesn't do pre-show matches anymore
Orton vs. Cody is going to be a bust because fans will cheer the heel over the babyface. But it's different when fans cheer Andrade or MJF
AEW calling an event not at seating capacity but based on configuration is a "sell out", but it's not when TNA does it.
It's been a learning experience. 😂
